Weird. It's only $399 for me.

What expectations did it change?
It's an average action rpg filled with busy work and bland combat.
The characters were amazing. Best part of the game. If that's what your referencing then I agree.
But it didn't change combat expectations. The combat was bland. The open world was filled with busy work. The story was generic as can be. What was so exceptional?
Agreed. I feel like it's getting praised from all of the young kids who didn't get to grow up playing classic rpg's. There's no way a game with such bland combat, generic setting/story, game breaking bugs, etc should be held in such high regards. It was a fun game for sure, but the most overhyped game I've ever seen.
But hey, I remember my first rpg too.
@fox
How dare you put MGSV in that list.
Lolll
I can't help but think that people who call The Division an MMORPG just started playing video games last year.
It sounds exactly like Destiny from what you just explained.
How ironic...
The sheep is the one who let's the developer take their money for a game with a myriad of issues it's first week.
So no, people are not sheep for wanting a working product that they paid for.
People like you are sheep who continue to blindly accept fixable issues after your money has been taken.
But yea, keep doing what you do. It's great for the video game community.
How is it flaunting Final Fantasy inspirations? Not one thing in that trailer had any hint of final fantasy in it (besides the fact they're RPG's).
Click bait or bad journalism?
Game looks great though.
Anyone who is surprised by this needs a reality check. It was obvious to anyone with a working brain that this game was taking the Destiny route. People argued with me, called me crazy, etc...but here we are...level cap reached in one day.
While, yes, I know it's only one person....but more and more people will be reaching the cap this week. No respectable game has such a weak level cap.
As long as you continue to overhype, pre order and support these kin...
Nah, just a lack of content.
There are no servers. This isn't a multi-player game. The chances of meeting another player are near impossible. (All of that straight from the developers mouth)
The developer said the chance of meeting another player is next to impossible. I wouldn't get any hopes up.
Also, that's not how Dark Souls online works at all.
Seeing as you don't interact with other players, that's going to be tough to accomplish.
Nope. The developer said that this is in no way a multi-player game.
I think a lot of people have really expectations for this game that will not be met.
The over hype was way too much and people who didn't pay attention to the details are going to be very disappointed.
Yup, that's what I keep seeing too.
So many people still think this is some MMO style action game.
So many people are going to be disappointed.
I want to preface this by saying I am excited for this game and I know people will love it...but it is being overhyped and the signs are clear:
I think the fact that it's being regarded as a AAA title is a reflection of the over hype. It's an indie game and it looks like one.
Nothing wrong with that at all, though. Not in the slightest but it's clearly not a AAA game (at least from what they've showed us). As long as it feels like a full game...
Why wouldn't you be able to?
Unfortunately, you won't be doing that. It is not a multi-player game in any way. Supposedly there are talks of allowing you to interact with players on your friends list but that's all we know of so far.
No offense, but your ignorance regarding what type of game this is and what you can and cannot do, reflects a lot of the hype.
I know people will love this game. But a lot of people still don't actually know what the game is like and will be di...
I agree. The walking dead was one of the greatest games I've ever played. Don't care if it's the same engine or not. The game was incredible.
