@ mcstorm you need PS+ to play online multiplayer on PS4. With few exceptions like free to play games DCU, warframe, Blacklight, cause f2p games really are f2p on PS4
@axious and why do you check the sales data on all the games you mentioned, none did very well at all, as for multiplats, well they all sold better on PS4

To me price point for VR is crucial for its success... Around 200$ ok, around 500$ no way.
Really cause i see piles of XB1s every where, toys r us, walmart, meijer, target, and best buy all have tons of them. PS4 has been spotted also but each store usually has 1-4 PS4s and 10-20 XB1s. I live in NW ohio...
The success of VR, any VR, highly depends on the price point, and then content avalible. If a VR display cost say 200$ then I can see it being widely accepted, but if it's 400-500$ then I think it will fail. I realize that the tech is costly, but there's going to need to be an attractive price point to get people going for it.
If playstation stayed free, then I could see them dropping the paid service, but since you need to pay for multiplier on either Xbox or PS4, I don't think it will change much. They might take some apps like hulu plus and netflix and make those free.
Plus Xbox fans haven't seemed to mind paying since 360 came out there are 48 million subscribers according to MS.
If they do make gold free I could see this as a big advantage and help sales overall, and probably ...

No company will get rid of there most profitable product, they will sell off other divisions. Sony has been letting go of other things like office buildings, viao, and such... And has a pretty hefty amount of re-tooling there business from top to bottom, and if done properly they will most likely turn things around.
