wasn't really planning on it, but since i had so much credit at gamestop i decided to go for it.
what would happen to the current stock of slim ps3's if they released the redesign at a lower price? they'd be sitting on the shelves until the cows come home.

what they might do instead is drop the price on the current ps3 slim. after that inventory has cleared, they'll probably drop the price on this one.
i might have to get one of these. hopefully somewhere like gamestop offers a promotion giving you bonus credit if you trade in one of your older consoles.
i was thinking about getting one of these, but since i already have a ps3, i decided to go with a wii-u instead. if they offer some sort of awesome deal though, it might be hard to turn down.

eh; it didn't work out so great this generation. i think they need to balance power with accessibility. ideally they'll make their architecture as easy as possible for developers to work with.
how are they not earning money? they've already sold over a million copies on the ps3. i'm sure those numbers would have been lower if they came out of the gate and admitted that the ps3 version would be inferior and they wouldn't be getting dlc.
the reason they are probably not putting much effort into getting the dlc on the ps3 is because they think a lot of the people that had a negative experience with skyrim won't even be interested in the dlc, so they...
it actually makes bethesda look like a p.o.s. because so far, they're the only ones i've seen that haven't been able to make dlc for the ps3. maybe they've been spending too much time getting cozy with m.s. getting kickbacks for making inferior products on rival consoles.
xbox funboys are out in droves today. apparently they don't remember games like oblivion and fallout 3 working just fine on the ps3. for some reason, over the past few years bethesda just forgot how to make games on the ps3?
