Yes! I don't know which questionable individual clicked "Disagree" but, they should be put to sleep.
It absolutely needs a full revolution. They've gone far enough w/ ctrl+C and ctrl+V... totally rebuilt from the ground up or CoD deserves to fail.
I think this is a joint conspiracy between Ubi and Nvidia... I don't need a new video card, but after looking at a $1200 leather jacket; a 780 GTX + Free copy of Watch Dogs is looking like a bargain.
I tried DayZ and I want to like it so bad... but, it's way too slow and buggy as hell.
If they can pull it off well w/ H1Z1, this along with TLOU Remastered will be reason enough for me to add a PS4 to the living room.
Is it concerning that I am only considering a PS4 based on zombie games? Probably.
Definitely a "wait and see" for me in terms of the DLC. (Did not intend for all of that to rhyme).
The SP expansions will each have reviews as will the "Conspiracy" game mode. I don't want to spend an extra $20 on content before it's out if it is going to suck.
But, if they are each released @ $10, and all get good reviews, that's the price I'll pay for waiting.
It's more than a clearer picture... if you take draw distance and texture resolution into considering, the difference between "standard" HD and "Ultra" HD is actually significant.
I would never claim it to be the same impact/leap that we saw from SD to HD originally, but, if the devs actually* support the higher resolutions, it's a beautiful thing.
Agreed 100%...
That's very sexist of you! BTW - someone above said this in a slightly less tasteful manner.
Next gen Fallout...? Yes please.
As much as I enjoyed Skyrim, I honestly think FO3 and New Vegas were more fun.
It better not be MMO either, that article from the other week scared me.
Def Jam Fight For New York was epic... something like this, next gen + Wu Tang would be good times.
What!? Hahahaha. What about all of the "Master Race" PC enthusiasts that also have an XB1 or PS4?
What are we classified as?
Can't wait. Fingers crossed for better random events/NPCs/AI/Physics and fully destructible environments.
"This also applies to real life" - haha, yes, if you count being ejected from a bike at 115 mph (without a helmet apparently). It certainly applies to real life!
True, saying "it doesn't matter" was a bit extreme. What I meant to say was that it doesn't feel authentic or unique (to me!). There is just something about a crazy one-time stunt in GTA: Online, an impossible to recreate trick in Skate, a ridiculous battle in Skyrim or an ambush in Fallout that let's you win a battle you should never be able to actually win... etc. Those things feel "real" because they aren't predetermined.
To be fair howe...
Ok, so, you are banking on the world ending then? Because it is going to be a non-linear game with a story... pretty sure Ubisoft is going to keep it that way considering it is out in less than a month.
BTW, it was used in my example as a game I would personally prefer to play vs. a linear game. So, I'll keep it in. Thanks.
So, basically, the author of this article just said that non-linear games are bad because they require discipline and focus to appreciate the storyline? Or else the user will go off the rails and "block the narrative".
And gives linear games "the win" due to the focus on story you can achieve?
I just can't agree with that logic. I'll take Fallout, Elder Scrolls, GTA, Watch Dogs, Crackdown, Saint's Row, Assassin's Creed, et...
Yeah, can't wait for more details... very happy about leaving last gen where it belongs (in the dust).
That was some hot dirt!
Hahaha, exactly, yeah - the volume of people who just spew negativity on here constantly is becoming concerning.
Almost makes me miss the simple days when the first comment was "First!"... now to be replaced with some office chair know-it-all who never took a single computer science course, offering criticism and advice to those pushing the game industry to the next level.
Thanks for your input!
Indeed. I abide by the dude.
Are you on Xbox/PS/PC?
YES!
What did I just see?! I've spent countless keystrokes dissing the CoD series since the annual rinse and repeat policy began after MW2.
This looks like it may be the kind of series revamp that actually warrants some accolades.
I am relieved that this is another copy n paste job. Fingers crossed. I'd love to get back into a CoD that actually deserves my money.
