Perhaps it is horse armor?
Ok, too early for gameplay? That's fine... but, if Crackdown 3 doesn't have completely destructible environments, this would be the definition of false advertising taking a front seat on the hype-train express to Bargain Bin City.
Yeah, the whole opening drop ship scene, futuristic rifles w/ ammo readouts on the top, mechanized spider/tank, exo-skeletons...
Sure, it is grounded in a bit more reality than Halo. I just feel like they are pulling features out of other AAA titles to enhance COD.
Which is fine!
Now they just need a meaningful physics engine/player animations.
COD + Halo + Titanfall = COD: AW
I have to at least give them credit for not copy and pasting this one. Worth keeping an eye on for sure. If it brings back that same feeling we got from the first Modern Warfare, I'll buy it. Then probably wait another 8 years for them to make a COD different enough to consider purchasing it again.
DayZ clearly inspired this. But it still looks super buggy and almost unplayable... just like DayZ standalone in my opinion.
I know these games are early, so I'm keeping an eye on them, but the potential for a game like this in the future is amazing.
At least they won't be accused of "downgrading" in the future.
I think the words "NO ACTUAL INFORMATION", "PURE SPECULATION" and "BASELESS CONJECTURE" were all left out of the title here.
How did this get approved?
Well said. Saw them in concert 3 years ago in NJ. Good times. Many drinks.
He should be sponsored by ThinkGeek.com...
That was awesome.
I did the same thing... clocked about 2-3 hours in the demo to be 100% sure, I feel like their videos/information was very misleading.
Every Fight Night game since the first one feels more dynamic than this "next gen" MMA.
Didn't want to cancel my pre-order, I had high hopes.
Changing outfits is so last gen. Bring on the horse armor!
Agreed. Music was odd.
I thought the demo was underwhelming as well... I took the time to study the controls, careful placement, clinching, ground game, etc... expecting to see a next gen MMA sim.
What I saw instead was absolutely not representative of their gameplay videos. I've been more impressed with every single Fight Night iteration than what I saw here.
Cancelled my pre-order after spending 2 hours with the demo, not impressed. Very rigid.
I take back...
You should watch the video - it's not just a coat of polish. These guys are serious about this game. Got greenlit on Steam, looks like a strong development cycle ahead, AND they promise not to charge for DLC in the future.
In other words - if we support them, they'll return the favor: http://www.roadredemption.c...
Darkseas Games - I'm going to keep an eye on these guys.
I'll never forget it... on summer vacation with a buddy in grade school. North Carolina. Beach during the day, early dinners, then while the families had drinks - we played Skitchin'... every single night, for far too long.
Enjoy a "hardcore" track from the game: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
OMG OMG WHAT?! YES!
Loved Road Rash, Skitchin', and Rocket Jockey. Take my money.
Yes please.
"in-game engine yes"... care to elaborate on how you know this?
Sure. But... A small part of me was hoping that its at least representing game play elements.
The environmental weapons, interaction, area specific fatalities, new x ray mode, super moves you can "charge" Ala street fighter... Oh. And that slow mo effect outside of x ray mode would be sweet.
9 was so good... They could just tweak it a bit for next gen. Add new characters. And I'd still buy it day 1.
While I agree with the fact that the old consoles are limiting the new - there's not much you can do to solve this issue.
Money is money, sales are sales, shares are shares... AAA titles aren't going to forfeit millions in revenue because people like us want the games to look prettier and run smoother.
The install base of the previous gen is MASSIVE. Big publishers are going to take some time to move on from this. Hopefully* learning how to get more...
Well, yeah, clearly I want them to do it right... or not at all. I'm not suggesting that a crappy feature is brought back into a series after a successful reboot.
Let's be honest, just about every MK game from 3 - 9 was pretty bad.
Capcom must have paid attention to Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon success.
