Best portable emulator you can buy.
Price tag is balls...but it is quite a looker. Problem is it'll be limited again so no hope in a discount.
They don't have to "make up" squat.
The reason they had (and still have) 130billion+ cash on hand is mostly due to trying to save on taxes.
They clear out a small bit of that cash with this deal. Emphasis on SMALL BIT.
7.5b spent doesn't even register to them. It certainly doesn't make them think, oh well, better increase those Halo MTXs.
All true.
But they're not running charities. All you can do is speak with your wallet where you can.
So he expected Digital Foundry analysis of HDR implementation to also announce new games?
They do have Gears Tactics.
But we all know that they were focused on Halo. Its delay certainly hurt their launch lineup, but they'll sell out of HW regardless during the early window.
You can keep beating that same drum if it makes you feel better, but the people who want one probably aren't swayed by it. Spend your time as you see fit, though.
Yeah, had the same reaction. Physical will still be PART of the IMMEDIATE future, but we all recognize what's happening.
I'll keep collecting as long as I can, but I doubt I'll ever care to really keep more than some key highlights from this gen.
Even then, too many of those games are just an empty case with a disc or cart, both of which almost always require a patch as soon as I stick it in the system.
I usually reach it when I finish a game that has consumed a lot of time. The open world "checkbox" games are some of my favorites, but one of those usually takes me a full month or two to get through.
Then it's a question of starting another longer experience, or spending those limited gaming hours on something shorter. There's also retro games. I might fire up an old title just to revisit it. Or on PC, check out a new mod for an older title and just ...
@ GamerRN
I'm in the same boat. My only concern is: "Is it broken?" The security system UI in my house is more advanced than the Switch UI, but it functions just fine. I haven't seen a digital foundry review of it, though, so I'm not sure of its resolution...
It's the start of a new gen, so you'll have to excuse the fanboys for a while.
Got to start somewhere, Razzer.
I'm due for quite a few upgrades myself, which will push my costs to about $1100 from from what I'm looking at.
Not quite. You go by the sound.
This is most often seen with acronyms like here (NYC being pronounced 'en-why-see' for example). So 'an' is correct.
Opposite can be true too. You wouldn't say "an university student." You'd say "a university student" because university starts with that "You-" sound.
It's just a reflection on their own unhappiness. Part of it is just a generational thing too. They lack the self awareness to grasp that the world doesn't always center on them or agree with their views.
Don't sweat them. Gaming is supposed to be about fun experiences like this. Just because the bitter little hivemind forgets that, it doesn't make it any less true.
I will never argue that PC can and will always outdo console.
But we all know the build cost on a PC that runs Dirt 5 at 1440/120. For $500, you're not going to top it.
Their other favorite is when he talks about not liking 3rd party/timed deals.
It started when he tried to talk about how deals like Tomb Raider aren't his focus, instead wanting to build 1st party content. Any timed deal after that made him a liar.
Then when talking about his dislike of exclusive DLC, his position again gets twisted anytime there's any kind of 3rd party deal.
Yet many of the biggest critics gleefully point out h...
@jznrpg
50 million more PS5 owners doesn't mean 50 million more game sales.
Best case scenario for the huge titles like ES6 or FO5 MIGHT be 10million PS5 sales lifetime.
Do the math on that. Between 30% royalty cuts to Sony, retail cuts, distribution costs, and sales, MS might net $300m on that.
But if, instead of selling 10m copies of a game, having it exclusive brings in just 1m new customers to Xbox, where the...
You have a percentage that are clear rip-offs. Those mostly don't last.
Your hardcore fans will try to knock any "competition," but if they're being honest, someone "cloning" their favorite game is a good thing. If they liked the original, they should hope to play more of them.
If a game comes out and clones BotW, and does very well, I would also think we should be even more excited for BotW2. Competition only serves to help...
Cuts the other way to me. For example, Bloodstained games are 100% Castlevania clones, and as a result, they've been instant buys for me.
So I guess it depends on the game being "cloned." But most of the time, it seems that it's basically: "Game ______ is very similar to much-beloved Game________."
I don't see that as inherently negative. A BotW clone sounds great to me.
But I understand that the term ...
It was 1080p on the "true 4k" console. Nobody either noticed or cared because it's stupid to do so.
And your breakdown there is just wrong.
It's actually the bandwidth you're trying to use to put down the S...again. The Ram itself is GDDR6 @1750mhz memory clock speed.
But Series X has 10gb using the 320bit interface to hit that 560gbs bandwidth number. 2.5gb of the "slow" Ram (probably at 192bit) is ded...
Shoot, I'm already laughing at the flip flopping.
"Exclusives are the most important part of gaming! Xbox has no gamez!!"
A month later...
"It doesn't make financial sense for MS to make these games exclusive"
@Lennox
Well, next year marks 20 years for some of these prophets being wrong. I say they at least have another 20 years in them.
