Yeah, I think I did.

Sorry about that. Hope I didn't disrupt your busy day of shit posting.

You're strawmanning this pretty hard here. I'm sure you've seen those people who do excuse lower scoring games (although why is a 7/10 "mediocre" with gamers lately?). But that's not what is being discussed.

There are what? 4000+ Xbox and PS4 games? 10,000+ Steam games? How many have you bought and played?

That's why GP can be great for a small game like this. It's not saying you can't be critical of the game, i...

DF doesn't review games, they do tech analysis.

And FFS, can we reign in the insecurities over this game.

100% agree on the Carlin nod.

But, yeah, like Stained ^^^ said, Warren isn't saying what you think she's saying.

It's a AA title from a small team with a small budget.

"The Problem" is that, instead of recognizing the growth of Blooper and their slow emergence as a quality team focused on a great genre, every damn thing has to turn into your stupid console war.

It looks different, yet very nostalgic. It doesn't look like AAA 100m budget quality, but damn if it doesn't look really good for what it is.

MAUs have been a key measure in tech for a decade. Why wouldn't they track and report it?

The bitterness at seeing them succeed is pretty sad. We've never seen a company invest more $ into gaming than MS did these last couple of years. Either get over it, or be prepared to keep being bitter for many years to come.

"All this talk" of financial success of a division in their quarterly reports!?! The audacity of them!

"Anyone wanting high frames with a high refresh rate screen would be gaming with a 3070/3080 or 6800/6800XT GPU at 1440p anyway"

Yeah, if we could actually find any one of those, we would haha.

But I agree that minimum specs aren't terribly high. But I'd never recommend people for minimum either.

They need to hurry up with the resupply of the 30's and 6800's.

Recommendation at a 2070 or 5700...

Feel your pain. I'm still hunting for a 3070 or 3060ti. Have all of the alerts and follows going everyday.

Last week, I got as far as getting the stealth releases into my cart. Twice.

Neither went through. It was a really shitty emotional roller coaster. I haven't even tried to nab a new console on top of that.

I just keep saying that in 2 years, we'll have our new cards and consoles ready to play all of these great upcoming...

All depends on the size of the check that gets written, but MS will likely want to do what you suggested (wait a bit to get big AAA 3rd parties) because it's cheaper and they'll make more money themselves that way.

But the economics of it aren't anything new.. Take Medium. It's already XBSs/x and PC exclusive. MS paid them something for that.

Then we know that the install base on the new consoles is small. The recommended PC specs are ab...

It's fair to be skeptical, but 2 things:

1. This article merely makes the general point that MS taking more time is hopefully a good sign. Pretty vanilla opinion piece that doesn't warrant whatever it is you're trying to say here.

2. The "bad" aspects you listed out are fairly minor to warrant this kind of reaction.

"8 bit" hyperbole aside, it really just needs lighting, texture, and other final-stage g...

I'd cut Raw Fury a break. They're small and this was pretty ambious compared to their prior stuff.

This is the best option in my opinion. The rumor is still out there that Coalition is doing the Perfect Dark MP, though. So that might be where their studio expansion is focused.

They remain one of the best at truly pushing Unreal Engine. I'd like them to try their chops at a horror game myself.

Yeah, I'm perfectly happy rocking current gen for awhile.

I can't manage to grab one of the new graphics cards right now. I haven't even tried finding the new consoles, but I can empathize with people eager to find one.

I expect a lot of next-gen updates, compilations, and filler for 2021. Late 2022 will likely be a great time to jump into PS5.
