That's the best analogy you could think of?
I'm not confused by a corp wanting to milk me.
I'm confused by the consumers who deny it and make excuses for them.
Agree, and what a weird and random list.
"Try as we might guys, we just couldn't get .. Risk ... to port over."
@Darth
Agree. I'm 70% convinced GT7 is cross-gen, and maybe 50-50 on GoW. It makes a lot of sense considering how long these teams worked on the last engines too. That's a lot of resources spent to only get one game on PS4 out of it.
@Angel
Yep. That made me laugh. All of those downvotes I received was nice too.
Think you might be just a little defensive in that 2nd paragraph? Wow. I'm guessing you were one of the people who mocked MS about crossgen? Let it go, man.
This has always been the plan to some extent if you go back to Sony's prior statements and get past the console war stuff.
With Sony doubling down on these big AAA blockbusters, they really want a large install base to sell to at all times. Even selling at a blistering speed, they might hit ...
I always appreciate these types of accessibility options. It's a good move.
But...if the unique features of the Dual Sense can be turned off...that tell me again why I can't use my DS4s?
Hopefully he's the guy who came up with the world aesthetic (which is beautiful), but couldn't figure out what type of game it actually is going to be.
To each their own.
I think the titles that most move the medium forward are often discarded as indie trash by many because they aren't "AAA" blockbuster SP narratives. I deal with it because gaming is so widespread that there's something for everyone.
And what's new to you, isn't new to everyone else.
There's been literally thousands of games released this gen. I didn't play them all, did you?
...
Haha. Oh, I have an agenda and feelings alright. Both lead me to laughing at the prophets on Era, Twitter, etc. who try so hard to see things that just aren't there. Time and time again.
And saying "it has all of the features of ______, but chose to remove some features only to replace them is as foolish as it sounds. Sorry.
All of this info is going to come out soon enough, I guess. I'd say it's best not to double down on your feelin...
Hey look, Minecraft and GTAV are still the most popular games on the planet.
So much for your theory.
You think QA testers make the games?
Just hopping in to join the Greedfall praise.
Despite its lack of polish in some areas, it was such a fun experience. The story kept me interested even if it is a bit predictable, but the combat was just so satisfying.
Hoping Spider continues to grow.
I'm planning on going with Valhalla next too. Then I'll probably buy up a bunch of deals on Black Friday and Steam Winter sale to add to the backlog.
So I'...
@IRetrouk
No Xbox is actually RDNA5. They just took out the RDNA 5 features they didn't need and added others.
Thats what your basically saying too, right? Just think about it for a minute before involving your feelings.
I can only imagine what the hive at Resetera are doing with this news.
Everything has pointed at this for awhile. From the rumored delays in the SX dev kits, to that PS engineer tweeting about how PS5 is "in between" RDNA 1 and 2 with some unique bits.
There is no mystery guys. If PS5 had full RDNA2 features, they'd say it exactly like that. But they stop short of it. Cerny will talk about how its based" on RDNA for a reason.

He was replaced at 343. Most issues reported deal directly with things that fall on his desk.
It's good that he's gone. Might be good if Joe and Pierre can get things going the way they should. But certainly shows that the delay wasn't because of "Craig."
Won't happen.
All of the rumored issues with the game go back to scheduling, communication, and other director tasks. It's about damn time they cleaned things up in those roles. I know he stepped aside a couple of months ago, but this should have happened long before imo.
Well that's dumb. The hype has likely contributed to its delays, too.
Profits for the division are reported (pretty good too).
Margins are nonexistent on HW, so we can equate most overall profits to software and services. Despite a decline this year from things like Fortnite, plenty of other 3rd party services have boomed w/covid related issues.
They've also had a good run on 1st party this year (PC most of all).
Not sure how they could ever really breakdown P&Ls for Gamepass in a discernible w...
@Foxtrot and others
"But it makes getting those consoles worth it.
If they didn't have exclusives then everyone would just buy a beefy PC."
Why is that seen as a bad thing? That would be great. Pure competition on the software end, with options galore on the HW side.
Whenever I read statements like that, my brain translates it to:
Without exclusives, I wouldn't be FORCED to buy a platform...
Lol. Did I strike a nerve?
Wtf are you even trying to say S2? Of all the analogies to use, you choose to equate it to an OS that was given as a free upgrade? And you know, if I want to install an old version of Windows on a new PC, I can do so, too.
My eyebrows are lovely btw.
It's a legit question for the corp defenders. They said the unique features made it "necessary" to exclude DS4 support.
Some o...
