The fast food industry has been hit hard by Covid. Burger King literally encouraged people to go to McDonald's to help support the whole industry. Professionalism has its place.
You won't find it in the console wars where you assuredly think all of these guys should remain locked into 100%. But you will find it in the people involved.
It's not the execs or devs driving this toxicity. It's "fans" with insecurities. Full stop.
...
That's such an awful take. I'm rolling my eyes at how professionalism triggers you guys so much.
It's one industry. The little fanboy fights are beyond ignorant.
I just love these articles because of how many of the biggest offenders rush in to literally do the thing he's calling out.
It's his job to sell his product and brand. Whatever "pot stirring" you're presumably referring to pales in comparison to the words, energy, time, and emotion expelled by fanboys.
When you're in such a rush to defend, you sometimes don't stop to read.
Now I'm picturing Spencer as James Avery. Thanks for that.
But what he's saying is already being proven as true. Your early adopters are buying up every available unit regardless of new titles available exclusively or not. Remember, it was true 13 years ago when Sony said it, and it's true now.
"The first five million are going to buy it, whatever it is, even it didn't have games."
@Potato
Old shorthand habit.
Also, b/c I fucking want to.
Looks like all 3 are front and center to me.
This came up with COD too. I think it's b/c of the copying process.

I'm not buying either new system right now, you sock puppet.
You're having an argument with imaginary people, and you're not even winning it.
Small 3rd party making a AA game that looks pretty cool. Delay if they need to.
Has nothing to do with whatever fanboy circle jerk you're trying to pull it into.
It was already delayed. As you say, it's a 3rd party game. We're seeing delays across the industry for some pretty obvious reasons. WTF should MS or it's fans do about it?
Calm down and stop with the strawman nonsense. If a delay makes it better, then good.
Yay! Let the months (years) of side by side comparisons commence! Ugh...
I think most of us fully expect frames and resolution to go in favor of XSX, but seeing faster load times was surprising. I would expect that should change once we get titles optimized for next gen. Interesting start though.
I get that the file size is only 133gb, but the 285gb is likely in reference to what we've seen on PS4 where you essentially needed twice the space in order for the game to properly update (It copies the file, applies update, and deletes the original).

Some people do buy Bethesda games for online. TESO: (16m+ total, 700k daily users):

The game has to be good though.
Fallout 76 didn't fail because it was an online game. It failed because it was a bad online game.
@razzer
Ding ding ding
@sully
Just stop drinking all of the kool aid. It's not healthy.
See Razzer's response above.
Quote the next line, Nacho.
Not pretending. Fanboys who defend corps do baffle me. Just calling out their nonsense.
But you understand that.
@Welshy
Just because you've been dicked over in the past, doesn't mean you always have to accept it.
I'll continue to use DS4 and Xb1 controllers on PC for years to come. It's nice not to be forced to buy everything all over again.
You can apparently turn haptics off too.
I'll play Miles Morales on PS4 w/DS4 next month. I can play all of those PS5 multiplats with a host of pads on PC.
I can use a DS4 to play some of those same PS5 games on Xcloud ffs.
It's probably a fantastic controller. But the truth is that it's only necessary because they said so.
Agree- understandable business move.
For those who claimed any other reasons...well, I think they've been fully shutdown at this point.
It's an hour long podcast that covers a gambit of topics, technical details, and insight.
You read the headline and sputtered some fanboy nonsense. Try to argue it if you want, but we both know what's up.
Gaming is infinitely more fun when you don't devote hours of your life to shilling out to a box. Take that advice or don't. I really don't give two shits.
