Popularity is too hard to measure. Not saying SoT isn't a success. Clearly it's grown to be something quite respectful.
I like using player counts for multi-player games. That generally makes sense. You never know sales numbers for Xbox, but SoT sales and user numbers on Steam are easy enough to watch (they're good).
Popularity based on sales can be just as misleading too. Uncharted and Spiderman get counted for all of those PS4 pack in cop...
@ Noctis
And the key word is "team." Having creative and passionate people working together for 3+ years on a single project is all about those relationships. You can't manufacture that through a Help Wanted ad.
@Mr. Dead
Then just imagine that MS acquired each of those 8+ developers separately.
I don't think it's ever been easier to find great coop experiences.
Weeding out what you enjoy may be your actual problem here.
Got to say though, as someone who has logged 1000's of hours in the old R6 games, Seige is by far the better game imo.
But some other great Co op games that come to mind:
Diablo 3
DOS2
Darksiders Genesis
Deep Rock
Vermintide 2
Helldiver...
Funny thing about opinions...
Could say "one of the BEST lineups to date unless you're NOT a sports fan."
When they put out a bunch of Yakuza games, I'm sure there were some who were disappointed too. Can't deny the popularity of these sports titles (and star wars). And you can't please everyone.
Just got Dirt 5, Killer Queen, and Elite Dangerous back on there a week prior.
Seems like this ...
That Triangle game? I've been excited to see more. Will definitely check out the demo.
Fell Seal is the closest I've gotten to that Tactics feel.
That's where I replay it. I've heard that the mobile port is decent too, but I'm looking for an actual remake (and sequel).
Best Buy is still there to buy your actual rtx cards at msrp. It just takes a lot of luck. But your 3060ti can be bought at $399...3070 at $499, etc.
Restocks usually come on Tuesdays or sometimes Friday, 11:00am est to about 1:00pm. It took a while, but I got my 3070 w/o going 3rd party or overpaying.
The 3rd party cards vary. And not all OC cards seem worth the $ premium. Plus, they seem to either be more susceptible to the tariffs or just in rip-off...
FF Tactics, but I've given up hope.
Which reason are we boycotting now?
Is it because JKR/Troy "controversies"?
Or is it because it's too woke now?
Sorry, hard to keep up with the flip flopping outrage over a damn Harry Potter game.
This is the correct answer.
Those two scenarios aren't mutually exclusive though.
A small team could certainly feel the pressure to produce a profit post-aquisition, and (assuming you're hinting at exclusivity), going in house will certainly disappoint some fans of their prior, independent work.
But big studios and publishers are obviously full of talented people too. They could benefit from the deeper pockets and resources, and they come loaded with leadership that knows h...
Naughty Dog, Zipper, Bungie, Guerilla, Sucker Punch, Irrational (2k Boston), DMA Designs (Rockstar).
@Deep
And he's not saying those numbers.
Read his quotes again, not the title. He's not saying what you think, and you can't say "math shows the service can't possibly be profitable" when you don't know the math. That's my point.
I can accept that some kind of fee is necessary to keep XBL services going. Security, anti-cheating, etc., while not perfect, have been worth it over the years. But in my 18 years of subscribing to it, I've never spent $60 a year. I always found deals to get it at $40 or below because that's what I value it at.
When I can hop over to my PC and get online multiplayer for $0, or sub to PS+ instead and get better offerings, they need to do more than just say "you...
And how will they do that?
They need to upgrade the servers to 4k capable HW first.
Considering they can't get SX's onto store shelves, for their fan's sake, I'd hope they put xcloud hardware upgrades at the back of the to do list.
The math doesn't show us anything because nobody has all the numbers.
How much did it cost them to put AC7 on GP? How many full sales of AC7 did that prevent them from collecting their 30% from? How much is that 18 million subs in real monthly $$?
I actually think gamepass subscribers should like that quote of old Greenbag there. The title takes some creative liberties, but his comment is fine by me. They're trying to over deliver on value at...
I think Ori was the first.
But yeah, hopefully dynamic to keep 60fps.
I hope their correction helped ease your fears a bit. I know it was awful "scary" and all...
Well you were partially right, it was wrong.
Don't feel bad. I'm sure you'll get those pesky xbox fans next time!
Rare has always been at their best when they're allowed to do whatever they want, and put their own stamp on what's popular.
When 3d platformers were the rage, they showed up with their own versions. Same with FPSs.
2D platformers got that Rare treatment with DKC.
Beat em ups? We got Battletoads.
When sims started their mainstream resurgence, they came up with Viva Pinata.
When persistant ...
