Well its not MS future of putting games on one console for them,gamepass has caused this and they're the ones that need sales so they're going multiplatform.

Absolutely this. I'm relieved for their third party timed/console exclusives and games like Stellar Blade,Astrobot and Rise of Ronin than all their Western stuff I couldn't care less about including GAAS as well as their milked PS4 franchises.
That's the thing I haven't liked Sony direction this generation as much but still prefer them over MS easily.

I like some games being a one off and leaving it as a classic. While it has heaps of potential as a series. Thing is Hashino is a great developer/producer. His IP track record is good and glad if he keeps trying new JRPG new IP for different settings/titles.

MS only survived the console industry because of their dollars.
Their focus now is digital service based gaming now whether they'll drop the console side of things MS can't never make their minds up.
Sony will continue consoles since PS is their main audience for them. Plus they're doing well sales wise. Same with Nintendo.
Steam has a high chance entering the console side of things. So the industry coming is a bit unpredict...
It was Inabas to try and push for GAAS that's buggered them. They should of done a sequel to MG Revengance,Vanquish and a new Nier title or a new Automata entry.
Cowboy Bebop is still and will be a million times better than what Druckmann makes.

To be honest it's games like Stellar Blade,Rise of Ronin,FF7 Rebirth,FF16 and Granblue Relink that got me a PS5 well as Zenless Zone Zero.
PS interests me more in that matter. Most of MS is going fully multiplatform so not a incentive to get a Xbox besides Gamepass if you don't want to invest in a PC.
Well at the moment Playstation and Nintendo is still doing fine and still selling well if it continues to be the case in the future it will stay like that for some time. Xbox is not doing good on its own and that's why they're taking the current route .
