My best friend bought it and he likes it. We have the same taste in games so his recommendation is enough for me.
Um...what? Sony did not offer any bribe. Turn 10 offered in game content for Forza votes.
The article was written a bit prematurely if you ask me. Why would anyone write an article with that title before the poll is even closed?
Wow Mooks way to fail again. The original poster isn't even telling people to vote one way or another. You should also take notice that the original poster (and everyone else contributing to that thread) is a forum user, and not a member of Sony. How exactly does that compare to a member of Turn 10 offering a virtual reward for voting pro Forza?
If I am not mistaken i believe that Turn 10 is a 1st party development studio for Microsoft. That means people are perfectly justified in categorizing them together.
It may not distort your judgment, but it could certainly distort a person's vote. Not that it matters to me. I know which one I am buying.
Let's say (and this is totally hypothetical) that there are people in the world who own both a PS3 and an Xbox 360. I know it may seem impossible to grasp, but bear with me here. If said multiconsole owners happened to have Forza 2 for one system, and happened to be a long time fan of GT for the other system, which way would those people want to vote?
Mis-message. See my reply to #20.
Forza 2 has unicorn cars.
"We want to win this poll, so vote for us and tell us you did and we will give you a reward". Of course I am paraphrasing, but that pretty much sounds like a bribe to me. It isn't even a good bribe considering that people could just vote for GT and lie on the Forza forums.
Forza 3 looks like a solid game from what I saw of it. I could have respected Turn 10 for that, but not after this. People can spin it however they wish, but bribing people to influence an internet poll is pathetic. It does not even make much sense to me. If someone is on the GT side of the fence, are they going to care about a Forza 2 car? Most likely not (except perhaps the people who will play both). If someone is on the Forza 3 side of the fence, they probably would vote for Forza anyway....
Nothing against Forza 3, because it looks like a solid game, but this is just embarrassing. Bribing users to influence an internet poll? That is just sad.
I think you are confused actually. Obviously fanboy logic dictates that sales = quality. I was just pointing out the flaw in that logic. If you want to talk failure though I could easily reference your complete failure to notice my sarcasm. Oh and I am glad to see you know your phonics. There is hope for the future of mankind yet.
Planning and releasing are 2 different things though. I am sure planning on Assassin's Creed 2 probably started shortly after AC1 was finished.
inFamous actually has 40 primary missions and 84 side missions (1 per territory).
Except Wii Fit...right? Obviously Wii Fit is a way better game than Halo 3.
Correction: It is flat out impossible to please people.
I love how multiplatform games get counted as exclusives. Here are a few facts I don't think anyone is considering.
Fact: I will play Splinter Cell: Conviction without owning a 360.
Fact: I will play Alan Wake without owning a 360.
Fact: I will play Mass Effect 2 without owning a 360.
Fact: I will play Left 4 Dead 2 without owning a 360.
Of course I would be a hypocrite if I did not mention that you can play Final Fantasy XIV without owning a PS3....
There is no relationship between the 2 games, but comparatively speaking, one has Patrick Stuart, and one does not.
You want to know what I think on the matter? I think that if Turn 10 had never offered a reward then Forza 3 probably would have won the poll. Forza 3 was ahead from the beginning, and because that poll got so much publicity as a result of that bribe, the GT community became more aware of the poll and mobilized to vote for GT.
