You are assuming that they are still losing money. If we are to believe that they have reduced their manufacturing cost by 70% since 2006 then their manufacturing cost would be around $250 right now. Granted that may not be true, but I do remember reading about it.

It is conceivable that he purchased another unit before Microsoft extended the warranty period. It wasn't always 3 years you know. I have a co-worker who did the same thing.
I will say however that the wording seems suspicious to me. Saying that his original system *finally* broke makes me think that it broke later, and not earlier.
Well to start off I don't believe you even own a PS3, let alone have had 5 break on you. I would also like to point out that Sony charges a flat $150 repair fee for any work that is performed outside of warranty, and 5 repairs at $150 would be $750, not $500.
I suppose your defense could be that 2 of those repairs were performed within a warranty period, but then the figure would be $450 and not $500.
Can you really generalize an entire group of people for a practice, and then entertain the idea of doing said practice yourself in the same sentence?

Hmm, that does not appear to be allowed. Rule section 16-47-C clearly states that typing such a sentence only makes you look like a hypocrite, and therefore removes any credibility that you may have had prior to the inclusion of said sentence.
Final Fantasy XIV is not Sony exclusive. It already has a confirmed PC release, and you can bet the farm that it will land on the Xbox 360.

You did not read the fine print. Line item 1 states that the credit will be applied toward the first single sales receipt purchase of $299 of more made at Sonystyle.com. You can't get an Xbox 360 at Sonystyle.com.
Actually it is very easy to disagree with an opinion. It is hard to disagree with facts, but opinions are fair game.

You are correct that it is human nature to oppose change. People will work for 30 years in a job they hate just because it is what they have always done.
I will get used to it of course, like any other kind of change. I do think the PSN logo is a good inclusion.

I see the total players number of 292, which is wrong because it also shows 727 active games. More games than players? I also see 0 logged in players, so I guess noone is playing in those 727 games.
One might conclude that the numbers are simply wrong altogether.
