Actually what is left to take? The first and second party exclusives are not going anywhere.
I would hope the quality of cars on a handheld game would be nowhere near the quality of cars in a current-gen console game. The fact that we are even comparing the 2 amuses me to no end.
Wow, genius I tell you. A multiplatform game will sell better than an exclusive? You don't say. The difference between you and I is that I will be playing both God of War 3 and Dante's Inferno, whereas you will only be playing Dante's Inferno and Annual Sales 2010 w/ the quarterly reports expansion pack.
You realize of course that Digital Polyphony is an internal Sony studio right?
I have to admit that he made very reasonable responses to those questions.
Let's be honest here, Aaron has a valid point that FFXIV is not exclusive to the PlayStation 3, because it is coming to the PC platform as well, but he should not have opened that can of worms. It just fuels comments about Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, and Left 4 Dead 2, to say nothing of the plethora of already released "Only on Xbox 360" games that are available on the PC. He effectively killed half of Microsoft's E3 conference with his own argument.
Don't worry Moty I am sure that after a few dozen DLC packs or so Forza 3 will have as many cars available as GT PSP.
Yeah their pulse reader just killed everything. They could make a lie detection game or............something.
The probability of Splinter Cell: Conviction going to the PS3 is pretty high actually, all things considered. SE will no doubt look at the success of Final Fantasy XI on the 360 (which I would imagine was not that great). I mean sure you can play MMO's with a silver account after paying the subscription fee, but how many Gold members are really going to pay a subscription fee to play online, and then pay another subscription fee to play "that" game online?
"and all the other PSP titles" were grouped into one point. How many good points would Sony have if those titles were each given their own point?
I don't know about the rest of you, but the fact that the intro is voiced by Patrick Stuart makes this game an automatic win for me.
*sigh* I am letting this stupid fanboy war get to me. Please disregard my previous post. Patchstation is not even worth responding to.
I can't argue about Final Fantasy XIV exclusivity, because it is a multiplatform game, PS3 and PC. I do get to argue about Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake and Left 4 Dead 2 exclusivity though. Do you want to know why? Or would you rather try to figure it out for yourself?
That is like another 4 biting the dust or something.
I have to agree with Socomer. I own a PS3 and PC so I can play all of the PS3 games (including the multiplatform games) and I can play quite a few Xbox 360 "exclusives" (funny how that works out). I am not missing much by not owning a 360.
This sounds a lot like his "ask Konami" statement regarding MGS4. As far as I know MGS4 is still exclusive.
Edit: Obligatory fanboy response
It is my understanding that Gears of War, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2 are not exclusive. See what I did there?
5 disagrees for a statement that is grounded in pure fact. Microsoft would indeed be shouting exclusivity from the rooftops and you all know it.
Shadow Man I have noticed lately that your posts seem to be quite reasonable, so I am going to give you a bubble. As stated above though I think it is a good idea to refrain from using words like "droid, or bot" It really is immature (on both sides of the fence). You have a valid point that Sony fans do seem to want the game to fail, and that is just silly. Personally I do not want any game to fail, but then I have been gaming for over 20 years. I will be honest, my impression of yo...
Why so many disagrees? I was not being biased toward any console. You have to admit that 3rd party exclusivity doesn't seem to last long these days.
To be fair though, you do not have to own an Xbox 360 to play Splinter Cell: Conviction, Alan Wake, or Mass Effect 2, so if those 3 titles were indeed the highlight of the show then that doesn't exactly speak well of the conference. I am not trying to take anything away from Microsoft's Xbox division, but that is the truth.
Funny, I do not own an Xbox 360 and yet I still look forward to playing Splinter Cell: Conviction, Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and Alan Wake. Weird how that works out.
