"what does it do for their actual products to have COD continue on Sony consoles"
That's it, cash. They'll generate about a billion a year more by not keeping it exclusive to their system. People act like MS hasn't been developing games for rival systems for over a decade, they've been doing so since Diddy Kong Racing on the DS released back in 2007. Viva Pinita is on DS, Ori is on Switch, Halo and Gears is on Steam, Minecraft and all its spin offs...
@Shinoff
1. Sony can't afford to buy big publishers, lets not act like they're morally above it.
2. Of course COD sales more on PS, have you not seen the sales difference in consoles?
3. Sony has bought studios that weren't exclusively making content for them. You think Destiny 3 will come to Xbox? I don't.
From now on MS should start kicking and screaming every time Sony buys a studio.
@Arkard
You don't play COD do you? It has a campaign, half the mp modes are 1 life and the latest has a third person mode.
Or Socom, that seems closer to COD than any of their other ips.
Not one bit, Bobby is probably another Harvey Weinstein
I don't want to know how you found the answer to that question.
Save on a scheme where they sell you a console for 2x what it's worth, yeah I'll get right on that.
That or the "it's a smart business move" defense, like they used with the anti-crossplay stance.
"claiming the consoles have the same power usage"
Where did he claim that? He said ps5 showed better results when off and standby mode, while the Xbox's showed better when running, which is what the article suggests.
Oh definitely, it's one of the better choices. I would jump on it myself had there been 2 more games similarly priced that I was interested in.
M+R won't hold its price long. The 1st dropped price pretty quick, it's not a Nintendo game it's Ubisoft.
The games have been mediocre at best ever since they took over.
It won't be exclusive, like COD and Minecraft the games sale too much to be kept exclusive.
*Can't afford to*
You don't have to play the game to see that some reviews are written solely to rile people up to increase web traffic to their site. I'm not accusing this man of doing that, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Except IGN in most regions gave the game a 10..
So you're suggesting that MS was like
"Here take this money and see to it that IGN Korea and only Korea gives GOW a bad review."
Yeah... Really doubt it.
They would lose some of the more casual players if that were to happen and not to mention the revenue they would lose, it would definitely hurt Sony hence why they're trying to keep the deal from going through. I don't see MS making it exclusive though.
Oh poor Sony, poor multi billion dollar company. They were all fine with acquisitions until the competitor bought one that they couldn't afford.
Do you still leave milk and cookies out for Santa too?
