I agree with you. The media has been very biased towards PS3 this gen. They have been highlighting even the most minor of its failures and downplaying even the biggest of its achievements. Clicked immediately after recognizing the X from Xenogears! :-) It is my first RPG and my favourite game ever. The story was mind blowing and I was screaming and jumping all around my room when it was revealed that Fei is Id. I still crave that joy which I experienced playing Xenogears and Final Fantasy VIII for the first time. I have all my original PS1 collection on PS3 and treasure it.
The Wii U selling 2.4 million is not too bad but I remember Nintendo fans claiming that it sold more than 4 million. Where are they now? On second thought they will just discredit VGChartz... I find nothing wrong with reboots but the problem is that DmC is an inferior re-boot when it comes to gameplay. Reboots are done to rejuvenate a franchise by creating a superior entry that eliminates the flaws of the original and brings new ideas to the table. I am very surprised to see how good this game looks. I find it very hard to believe that it is releasing for current gen consoles. I wonder if we are seeing PC version screenshots and console version may be a little toned down to fit the console specs. Anyway it looks phenomenal!

AWESOME! Cant wait to play this! I was a little scared when some people were calling it easy and boring after playing the demo but this review made me very happy. I will get it day 1! I hope this game gets the love it deserves and enables JRPGs to make a come back.
DmC wont suck... by today's shallow standards. Gamers and reviewers find nothing wrong with lack of challenge, hand-holding and broken mechanics. Root means to say that SE only pretends like they will be focusing on making a game with some deep story, ideas and emotion but in the end their games these days are shallow and ludicrous when it comes to stories. Squarenix sucked this whole gen and continues to suck! Always the same ambiguous answer to questions. The longest console gen is almost over and still no FFvsXIII. FFX HD was announced but no further news and the same ambiguous answer. I hate how low the company has fallen since the 90s and early 2000s.
