If they really wanted to make things right in the headset category they would have just made it compatible with old headsets.
The VAST majority of Netflix viewers use some sort of box like PS3 Xbox Apple TV Roku Google TV boxes. (all of which are free btw) And that people actually spent more time on both PS3 and Xbox watching Netflix than playing games. That was part of the justification for the "all in one" focus of One.
My TV has Netflix built in but I still prefer the PS3 because the interface is faster and it automatically plays the next episode in a playlist.

I would wait until you get more details before you get excited. They haven't given any details like cost or software requirements. They haven't even stated that you will be able to use things like a mouse and keyboard vs trying to make a game with a controller. Until you see the dev tools there no telling what it will be.
And lets be honest what serious game developer is going to want to use a console vs a PC that can do everything faster and better.
I think it will be used for lots of things, not all directly gaming related.
Things like using the web browser and aps. It also allows for greater compatibility with touch screen games like tablet style and phone games.
Basically anything with a pointer or touch interface will be improved by the touch screen.
I'd say they matter a lot.
When I upgraded my video card on my PC games that were 30-45 fps now run at a solid vsynced 60 fps and everything is so much more fluid.
So my vote is yes specs and hardware definitely matter.
Wow that's awesome Rorona is one of my favorite characters of all time. I super hope they localize this to the west.
It's funny, the publishers were majorly pushing for all digital. But the reality is it's brick and mortar that pays them. Indies and small developers who use digital as there distribution are able to avoid having to give a publisher there cut.
Publishers don't make games, a lot of times they don't even fund the games, all they really pay for is stamping disks making boxes to put them in and setting up deals to put them in stores.
I think in ...
Sounds good. It's crazy to think that Demon Souls almost didn't make it to the west. I'm glad they took a chance, and it really paid off for them.
You know your a huge douche when your too big of a douche to work at Microsoft. That company churns out more douches than Vagisil.
Agreed
I don't like where the future is headed.
Closed platforms like Tablets where you can only install programs from a pre-approved list. Cloud based services with monthly fees that completely take away ownership, and only grant access as long as the company wants.
Greed and control are going to destroy knowledge and freedom.
Just what I always wanted in a batman game. /s
Zero interest in multiplayer. It's a waste of resources in my opinion.
It's a control issue.
The game companies like it because they can force you too buy new products and completely remove support for there old ones.
Look at sports games, they basically take down the online every year when the new game comes out. With digital not only can they remove the online they can remove the entire game.
Even if the HDMI is blocked you can just get a HDMI decoder.
I don't believe this until Sony says it. Everything they have said up to this point has been 1GB for the OS.
I'm really looking forward to this game. Reminds me of Secret of Mana.
Kinect is a novelty.
The fact is, it's never going to replace the controller for 95% of game genres out there.
Most people are not going to want to do jumping jacks to run around in COD. Only specific types of games like dancing games will ever work well with Kinect.
Not to mention most of these promises are the same things Microsoft said about the first Kinect and those never panned out. I seem to remember scanning in a skateboard and s...
I was hoping it would be Rorona, but Sterk is a pretty good silver medal.
So to some extent DRM still exists.
If at some point Microsft decides it doesn't want to host that data anymore the disk you bought is a coaster.
I object to selling disks that don't actually contain enough information to play the game.
This really shows what Microsoft's intentions were.
And to say they couldn't put enough information on the disk to play the game at some level is BS most games go gold about a ...
You must have gone to the Don Mattrick school of salesmanship.
But I agree with you.
The other day I was getting into my private helicopter and I was thinking. "Why do people even leave there house if they can't afford a helicopter?" After that I snuck out and took a dump on my neighbors Ferrari, that will teach him. Pfft not spending money on a helicopter, he deserved it!
