I havent played it. But a 2 out of 10 meansthe game is ABYSMAL and sucks on ALL levels. I cant see how thats possible.
I wuld have had it for rent but forget it was out and didnt send a game back in time!
But LA Noire shipped from gamefly yesterday :)
THis game is getting alot of press....with just one amazing video. Screenshots (not of the gameplay) and ZERO in action gameplay.
We shall all see if it is any good soon :)
The fact that he wrote a long ass article weeks after release must mean they did something right.
And based on the solid sales its getting after the first week. Ppl like myself disagree with all the negatives he had to say.
Homefront perfect...far from it. FUN...hell yes!!!
I feel they did a MUCH better job with a new IP then alot of FPS that come and go.

Im sure im not the first to say it. But DICE you have ALREADY made a feew games that are better the COD games IMO.
Battlefield BC 1 and BC 2 were much better overall games then any COD game. Much mre going on. Destructible environments hands down is what sets it apart for me.
All they need to work on now is a better communication system..get rid of 4 man squad chat. And more things to unlock and XP for team work based objectives etc!!

A 3 is for a game like Battle LA. And even I would rate that a 3....a 4 or 5.
Homefront is NOT a 3 out of 10. A 3 is for a game that is unplayable and not fun...a game that is horrible on ALL levels.
Me personally I would say a sold 7. Good but not great.

I like the game. A 5 seems kind of harsh.
It does some things great and some things not so great...but Im having FUN with it and thats all that matters.
If you go into it to compare...no it doesnt stand up against the TOP FPS on the market but it does hold its own.
I would give it a 7.5 good.
I wont get burned again no matter that the devs or previews say.

Not that I dislike this .... but they used the same style for Bad company 2....and the vietnam DLC.
Wont stop me from getting the game but a different style to separate it from there other FPS would have been welcomed!
The biggest thing I feel they drop the ball on is CLAN support and better communication features. Such as proximity chat..meaning the ability to hear ememies (other humans) on the other team if your close to them.
I think it was Halo 2 that had that..nit sure if its in Halo 3 or Reach.
BFBC2 4 man squad chat sucks .... not being able to comm with the whole team is dissapointing.
Also when someone does talk...some type of notification le...
Loved the first one. Not so much the second one.
The second one was a carbon of the first...felt like the same game but worst somehow!

I is very all over the place at default...almost TO sensitive. Tap to the left....goes to the left to easy..try to go back right goes FAR right....left and right so on and so on!!
I like the game otherwise....loving the in helmet cam...once I get used to it its going to be hard to play without it.

If I was the PR dept for BF3 I would focus on the fact that you can DESTROY almost everything!!
I feel that they FAILED at letting the avg consumer know that BAD COMPANY 2 had destruction in it.
THey HAVE to set themselves apart from COD and destruction is a step in that direction!
I care about sales so if a game I play I like gets .... support and sequels.
And DEVS do care about sales also. You put your heart into something you want as many ppl to buy and play it as possible.
There have been tons of games that have been great but got LOW sales. And the DEVS/company went out of business.
So SALES do matter.
Hmm my 3 ways BF3 could outsell COD MW3...
1. No more marketing but SMART marketing. Really show what the game is about. Meaning .... the DESTRUCTION. The VEHICLES. The MAP size...the PLAYER count.
Really push what BF does that COD doesnt. I feel that games like BC1 and 2 did sooo much that COD doesnt but alot of gamers have NO IDEA!!
2. Alot of tie ins and cross promotions with other top games movies etc. Tap into that market of gamers who ...
Yeah its kind of hard to buy all the games (FPS)
What I do is rent. And figure out which ones I like and buy and play.
I rented K3...liked it but sent it back so I could try out Homefront. Next up is Crysis 2. Ill play...see how I like and Maybe buy.
Also Shift 2 ( not a FPS) is coming in the mail. To may games and so little time to BUY them all and PLAY them all!!
Yeah im playing Homefront also and very much enjoying the MP.
Some will crap on the game but IMO that size of the maps. The vehicles....the gadgets etc make for a very FUN MP experience.
BF3 will do well and be alot of fun.
I didnt even get into the BF games until BC1. And even when I got it...I didnt jump into the MP until 6 months after I got the game.
Looking back I think I slept on the MP because I was busy with other g...
If MW3 comes out this year it WILL crush Battlefield 3 in sales.
Now as far as gameplay I will say that BF3 will be the winner.
No matter how good another shooter is ppl will gravitate towards what they KNOW. ANd at this time that is COD.
What will make another shooter take the crown is keep making solid games. And eventually COD will fall off. MAYBE lol.

So for me that means 30 hours plus. I take soooo long to beat games.
I cant play for no more then a hour or so in one sitting and then sometimes I will STOP playing for a week or so.
It took me MONTHS to beat dead space 1. I could only play that game 30 mins at a time. Call me a wuss but with surround sound that sounds in theat game would give me the creeps lol!!
