Price increases are never good.

I think I have outgrown the whole rental thing as my free time is filled up with other stuff.
I didnt mind the seperation of the streaming and dvd rental into 2 prices as my increase wasnt substantial from what I was already paying.
But reading that I will now have 2 different charges and they are splitting the it up....meaning I have to go to different sites to do streaming and another to rent dvds and now games.
Ill give it a chance as I do rent games from gamefly and this would be a good option to dump gamefly.
OR just dump Netflix...

If the amount of positive reviews and ppls love for zombies...(myself included) ..I can see this game having long legs.
Easily selling thru that 2 million on both systems.
Once you play it...if you can get paste a few flaws. Is a FUN game. Could it be better...OH YES!!
But for what it is...a game from a dev that doesnt have a strong track record for pumping out top notch games. Ill give them a thumbs up on the effort.

Does it have bugs yes. Have I encountered any majors..nope.
What is getting this game such positives is that even with the FLAWS etc...its a good game...a very FUN game.
I have played some buggy games that werent that good to begin with.
IMO in my experience I havent encountered anything outside of some clipping...or characters arms being ...
I think the problem was that DEAD ISLAND trailer was soooooooo AWESOME!!!
I saw the trailer and didnt expect anything close to what I saw.
There are TONS of games that have CGI trailers....that look nothing like the game and is not even a scene from the game.
Yeah that kind of sucks if a reviewer takes points based on a trailer. He would have to do that on alot of games.

But I have stayed up 2-3 hours past my normal sleep time a few times since I have been playing Dead Island.
I can def see why some would be dissaponted with the game for sure.
If you take it for what it is. A game with some bugs....arcadie elements...then you will enjoy it better.
Some of the task aka quest some ask you to do is weird...like the woman asking you to get her Teddy Bear...or one ...
You got it spot on. And the reviews reflect that...either you love or hate it.
It has issues dont get me wrong...but I am having FUN with the game.
IMO if im having FUN that is ALL that should matter.
If you love zombies ... its a must PLAY game...not buy but play..rent...then buy :)

As a company. they have to take the course that makes money.
If stats show that a sequel will yield more money over a new IP. They will make the sequel. We would do the same if we were in there shoes.
Its the same with movies. sequels and remakes. Or rehashes of the same ideas with a different cast.
It happens all the time.
It is hard to get ppl to try something different then what they are comfortable with.

I would be pissed if I lost a FULLY upgrsded bad ass weapon.
I thought I lost 5 hours of a character because when I would click continue from the start it would load the wrong character slot. Was relieved it wasnt gone!!
The game has alot of CONS but for me the PROS outweigh it. Plus I rented the game ... i might feel different if I purchased it.
Ill rate the game a 9 on fun and a 7 for overall.

The game IMO...the inventory and how you use weapons is a PLUS.
Im not going to knock the reviewers opinion as maybe on the PC its different. Im on the 360.
I love when you throw an object like a blade or other sharp object it sticks in the zombie. You can get close and grab it out and back up and throw it again.

In this case this person didnt like R3 as much as you did. So if the game is a solid 9.5 as you stated. Why care what he writes about it.

When a 360 game gets a low score there isnt the same responses from fans as from Ps3 excl. take Forza for example...the few low scores it got...from my memory...the articles didnt get any heat.
By and large when any 360 excl. gets a low score...the heat on that article is pretty low. But...
GTA and COD are 2 different animals.
COD hits ever year and sells well.
GTA every years or so and also sells will.
One pro MP other pro SP....
Once GTA5 hits it will sell like hot cakes!! I dont see one effecting the others sales.
