Omega4, it's the price, not the games or hype. Was there any one game that made the PS2 a success?, what about the wii, even the 360? Consumers react to price, no matter what games are on the system(other wise the wii would be in dead last.) So actually if a price drop doesn't raise sales then the PS3 is done.

that's Sony's real problem. It's not that they haven't advertised, it's that they haven't advertised EFFECTIVELY. They seem to be trying to hard to make you think nowadays. Which just ends up making the advertisement confusing.

they ARE the same point in the game. the 2005 trailer was TARGET render. That's how they wanted that scene to look BACK THEN. But the finished product never quite comes out how you planned(it's one of life's little rules).

It's the best looking game from Japan and FFXIII is the second best looking game. although I don't really like the gameplay. Hopefully Versus keeps up the trend.
I really hate when people say stuff like this. If it's okay to just ASSUME Microsoft has a crapload of games to announce, then isn't just as valid to assume Sony also have some more games in the pipeline for 2009? and if that's the case then Sony's will the still have more games.
Besides, how many games do you think Microsoft will announce anyway? they have like five in-house studios and 3rd parties are going to have a hard time ignore 20 million more potential sales.

so you're saying that if the PS3 and 360 came out in the same year that the gap would still be the same? because the PS3 outsold the 360 in 2007? and 360 only marginally sold more in 2008. So without the year head start there install bases would be around the same size.
