but the article you linked to said that maybe they'd outsource the game, while this article confirms that the project is dead.
Any gamer with a brain knew this would happen months ago, if not years ago. "At the final stages of production", yeah f@cking right. They've lied countless times, and they expect people to believe the game was almost done? I doubt this game ever even got off the ground. They never even actually showed the game. Just kept saying "wait till the next E3" over and over.
and what's worse is that they're taking their sweet time announcing the new date. Resulting in these type of articles.
That's pretty much what I came in here to say. How bout we all just wait until they actually announce the date? The speculation really isn't worth it.
But the initial buyers (probably) won't know how the device performs, and if they can get a significant amount of people to buy it day one, more will follow(regardless of quality). Simply because a lot people are sheep and wouldn't be caught dead without the latest trend.(These are the people MS are aiming at with all the celebrity endorsements.)
PS: I do agree that, if it is just smoke and mirrors, MS deserves for Kinect to flop. But who would be dumb enough to relea...
It has the appeal and is catering to the same audience. There's also the fact that the games, advertising, and the product itself were no doubt inspired by the wii. I think it's only logical to compare them.
Seriously bro? Do you have to play sales? I agree that Kinect will be a success, but what do you gain from the sales personally? Do they make the experience better?
Translation: stop being lame.
@Sweeper
Yeah I definitely agree with that some people are in denial(by thinking kinect will flop). Though I also believe things wouldn't be any different if Sony were releasing kinect and MS were releasing Move. You'd have a group people saying it suc...
The title pretty much sums up how I feel. Kinect will probably be a big hit, but i'm not sure how long it'll last.
edit:pathetic trolls are pathetic, and that goes for both sides
I thought only ps3 fanboy's trolled. Hmm, guess not...
How was my comment defensive, and what exactly was I supposed to be defending? I didn't say anything about kinect or move. Simply pointing out how lame yellowlightofdeath is.
not trying to be a d!ck DMason, but did you even read my comment? It had NOTHING to do with this meaningless motion control war. I was simply responding to yellowlight's idiotic rebuttal.(and how lame it is for a user named "yellow light of death" to be making fun of fanboys, as if he ...
jukins never said that eyetoy sold 70 million. He said that sells were GOOD. Since Sony is still supporting the eyetoy, that's most likely true.
and don't act like you're not apart of the XDF, loser.
this was bloody brilliant, and this coming from a guy that usually dislikes Microsoft's super aggressive marketing strategy.
though you have to admit, MSFT is really sticking it to Sony marketing wise.(it's actually sort of unfair, because this Sony's weakest area going head to head with Microsoft's strongest.)
then again, MSFT will be screwed if kinect bombs, but the chances of that happening are getting lower and lower.
but, if this were a ps3/move combo, don't pretend that there wouldn't be 360 diehards doing the exact same thing.
serious question: why do 360 fans pretend 360 fanboys don't exist. (infact i just saw some trolling a GT5 post).
Dorwrath is sorta right in that reviews won't make much impact... atleast not by themselves. BUT, if those reviews instill the general consensus is that kinect sucks, even through word of mouth, then MSFT could be in trouble. Therefore they still have to provide a quality product.
advertising won't do any good if even the soccer moms think it sucks
Just because something is successful does not mean people are not sheep for buying it (or doing it in the case of fads)
it only had ONE real date in the U.S.(two counting the original japanese date). Where did all this "coming soon next month" nonsense come from? Or are you just trying to pretend GT5's case is any different from the games on this list.
Simply curious, although initially it did seem like blind hatred. But maybe I simply misunderstood your comment. Either way, it's all good bro. (it's not like i'm angry or anything).
say what you want about FFXIII's design. But you have to admit the CG work was stunning(especially the ending). I feel the CGI is one of the 2 areas where SE hasn't lost their way. (the other being musical score.)
"The guys that were developing it were clearly pretty passionate". That's IF they were developing it. Remember that rumour from back around 2008 or 2009 that was saying that Wardevil was just a scheme to raise funds or something? It's looking more and more true.
edit: I would have believed the game existed if they had showed something from it. Even if it was a work in progress. The fact that they knew Wardevil was being branded as vapourware(that's the ...
