Disclaimer: I own a ps3 and wii.
Wii gamers know to totally ignore all professional reviews. Just go to amazon, you'll learn nothing from a professional reviewer except that the author wishes it had hd graphics. Once I followed this advice I started playing some really awesome games.
Honestly, "it looks good for a wii game" is no different from "it looks good for a hd console, but it's no crysis." Or "while it is natively rendered in 1080...
I play my wii more than my ps3. I like old school 2d games. The ps3 gets lots of playtime in sf4 and littlebigplanet tho, also warhawk and mk vs dc. You guys were born in the era of 3d gaming...some of us were dragged there and the wii is how we pretend it didn't happen.
Don't you guys realize nintendo did market research on lapsed gamers like me when making the wii? They knew we quit after ps1 cause we hated newer games and were getting bored with the same old formula. Don'...
It's used for the pedals in the drum kit.
Probably wii music hate from someone who never had it. Way more musical than guitar hero...it actually lets you change and personalize the included songs. Or make songs that sound nothing like the original. The game has pitch exercises for god's sake and teaches you the basics of several musical styles. You can actually play without using a note chart and learn to keep time.
I could get Bs on bag and other 10 footers in d...
Wii fit plus is better by far if you're interested. To change activities in wii fit you gotta go back to the menu..it sucks for making a workout routine. And it constantly talks to you when you just wanna work out. My gf enjoys wii fit and she's getting this to correct the flaws.
The balance games are fun as hell. Tilt to shift a level with 3 balls so they fall in a set hole...kinda like that wooden maze game with marbles and holes they can fall in from when we were little.
"and somehow they are going to reach the top with just about no multiplayer design experience HAHAHA
you've got to be joking"
Quake...Return to castle wolfenstein...quake pretty much defined online deathmatch...
HAHAHA you don't know what you're talking about. "OMG HALO MADE FPS POPULARZ"
Probably cause you're a douche that attacks your friend's preferences in video games when he just wants to play them. God, who would argue that?
They won't btw. Cause the game makers overshot graphics with regards to the market. High graphics for 600 is a niche market...see pc gaming and the niche of high end graphics cards. The largest part of the market will make do with adequate graphics. The wii picked them up with cheaper prices and innovative controls, as well as games...
The gamecube was a proper console and set poly count records for 6th gen at launch. THEN NO ONE BOUGHT ONE. Quit crying to nintendo and asking them to reproduce their lowest selling console in history.
I have a wii and ps3 slim. Been gaming since NES and just bought a jaguar if that proves my credentials, otherwise have a radeon 4780x2 and quadcore with 4gb ram. I love the wi and own 26 games for it, sold 10 back. I play sf4, mk vs dc, littlebigplanet, and warhawk on the ps3. Just got lair and picking up blazblue. Own a fight stick.
I love my wii. Play it more than the ps3 in fact. I like those old school games that now you can only get on the wii, rail shooters too. ...
Legally this is incredibly fickle, probably falls under uniform commercial code express and implied warranties of merchantability. Aka the judge will use the law in a way that does right to each party. Doubtful a judge would like homebrew given most people use it to hack and pirate (I was a cs major and see the applications otherwise, and I've thought about making a wii game for homebrew out of boredom, but honestly you still gotta admit most people are just burning cds and hacking games li...
How does it compare to other rail shooters? Is it quick like HOTD 2 or more slow like Umbrella Chronicles/HOTD Overkill/Ghost Squad?
I'm getting it regardless this just tells me whether I should get COD MW first ;)
I love my wii given I can't play ps2 rail shooters on the hdtv without buying special guns...nintendo did well eating that market up. The gf loves her rail shooters and it gives us an excuse to game together!
Waggle = button mash. To think it's built in is moronic. You try waggling in bikini zombie slayers or wii sports resort or boom blox or mercury meltdown revolution, Just try it.
Cd, dvd, and blueray fits in sony's model of the console as a sort of computing device and multimedia hub. Hence why xbox and them fight over this ground - ms doesn't want to lose a multimedia computing war. Note that sony owns a lot of that technology. Your age also shows as you forgot Sega and Jaguar Cd. Those companies introduced cds to console gaming and were simply mimicking what the medium became for pc.
Nintendo has never cared either way. They make games and gaming ...
PC shooting is a valid preference, I love my trackball ;) I just like rail shooters better so I stick with the wiimote. Also, COD for wii just was lazy devs. The accuracy is a joke - look at the conduit for comparison or HOTD 2. I hope they fix this with MW.
Graphics aren't a gimmick but that's the same argument with motion controls and more applicable in that case. I like pc gaming and naturally I choose frame rate over resolution every time ;)
I love my wii. ...
While a lot of games are waggle, the IR pointing to shoot is half the benefit. RE4 on wii vs other consoles? Exactly.
Also, a lot of games aren't waggle at all. Stuff like mercury meltdown revolution and the minigames in SMG are pure balance. In No More Heroes your finishing swipes had to be a given direction that changed each kill. You could not waggle that.
Bikini Zombie Slayers is another good one. You have to time the swings and sometimes thrust or horizo...
Perfect analogy...pet rock compared to an interactive gaming console. One sits there and does nothing, the other allows more movement and physical interaction with a game than every other system created to date.
Hey, how many people pulled out their pet rocks and played with them for hours with friends?
How are motion controls a gimmick but graphics aren't? One actually determines how you play the game and interact with the machine. I can play PC games in many res...
Man, these people just don't get motion controls - they had lair and they couldn't appreciate it. You know how they said the dragon was unresponsive? They used a processor to simulate the physics of a 2 ton beast...that was intentional and realistic. My friend isn't much of a gamer and he said the controls were great, loved the game, and railed on this "lord of the dorks" crap that reviewers threw at the motion controls.
The game is sick - the sixaxis act as reins! ...
I have a ps3 and a wii. Allow me to tell you what my friends with ps3s want in addition to the titles you mentioned.
No More Heroes, No More Heroes 2, Little King's Story, Mercury Meltdown Revolution, Deadly Creatures, TMNT Smashup (made by SSB studio and very similar), Dawn of Discovery, Zack and Wiki, EA Grand Slam Tennis/Virtua Tennis with motion controls, Real Heroes: Firefighter, Tiger Woods Golf with motion controls, Ghostbusters wit motion controls, HOTD 2 and 3, HOTD Ove...
I am. I own a ps3 and gaming pc. There are several reasons:
I like point and shoot fps better than a trackball and it completely destroys dual analog (mouse + keyboard vs point and shoot is more preference). You can beast some headshots in the conduit. Like I win by 30 using the pistol, the headshot gun.
Rail shooters are my thing and the motion controls are hitting full stride with wii sports resort and punchout. The latter is fun as hell on a balance board. <...
Yeah, I bought a ps3 slim for a blueray player and some exclusives and I came from a PC gaming and wii perspective.
I missed the fighters like sf4 and MK vs DC, and I'd rather have those on console than PC. Warhawk sounds awesome but I have yet to play it. Lair is the kind of game I love given why I play the wii all the time.
Honestly if motion controls fail on ps3 it'll be for the same reason lair did...reviewers and console jockeys not willing to relearn how to p...
I like the warning screen for the wrist strap on startup with the guy breaking a vase and hitting a girl in *one swing.* It motivates like glimpsing El Dorado...
