If your comment about uncharted 2 was true then no one would own a console as most games on it look better on pc. Higher res, better AA, better textures - you name it.

I agree entirely with the cheap dev costs. It makes unique games possible at a fraction of the risk. I'm thinking of stuff like world of goo...NMH to some extent, even ported pc games like Da Blob.

You're right about the great light saber game, but wii sports resort shows that the wii could currently do it. I honestly hope ps3 incorporates motion controls considerably into the new titles. This would be a benefit I didn't expect when I originally picked up the new system.

How does logic apply to preference? I want good 2d games. What logic suggests I should buy a ps3 or xbox to play them when nintendo has most if not all quality 2d titles?

I was with you till imprecise. It does pretty well for cross level sniping in the conduit.
You can avoid the shake by resting the wiimote in your lap with your hand around it. Then you barely move it to aim. My settings are all maxed, it works rather well.
Not as accurate as my trackball but I like it much more.

Blazblue didn't sell much either, nor did call of Juarez. Your argument only works if you ignore first party wii titles (made by nintendo) which are often hardcore and kill sales on any other systems. Then you compare hardcore third party games with those made by first party developers like Naughty Dog/Epic. Compare zelda or mario or ssbb to uncharted 2 and you get a different conclusion.

Buy a pc. You get gimped ports on gimped consoles. 512mb ram per HD system and we play on 4+gb. Your processors are in order instruction...if you knew what this was you'd laugh hard. Most top games run in 640p or at best 720p. We did this years ago on pc...
Agree with above saying nintendo has hardcore games. Play metroid or hotd 2 and 3 return and tell me that's not hardcore. His list is just a start and leaves out plenty of gamer's games.

I stopped console gaming at ps1 then got a wii and bought a ps3 3 months later. Lapsed gamers are a large nintendo market.
I own 34 wii games. Most are puzzlers that involve twisting the wiimote (marble/mercury/boom blox series) or rail shooters or stuff like trauma center that can't be done on other systems. I played pc games for years but this system hits the spot. I can think of 5+ nintendo games that are universally acclaimed, let alone 5 total.
