Like most people who think they're hardcore because they play violent video games, you fail to distinguish between marketing and possible use.
Wii homebrew alone makes it more valuable to programmers than a ps3 slim that can no longer run linux. What, you aren't hardcore enough to code?
Actually on pcs competitive fps players sacrifice graphics for higher framerate. A lot (myself included) turn off AA so the player models stand out at a distance instead of smoothly blending in.

Hopefully they do LBP motion controls right...honestly I don't see how it'll work. Mario works on the wii cause it uses the wiimote as a controller and motion control accents but doesn't replace it. Sega just needs core games we can't get on other systems. The conduit did ok cause of the aiming controls. HOTD 2 and 3 killed cause lcd tvs killed rail shooters. If they figure out a core game that utilizes the wiimote and is polished well they should see the same sales. Look at Mario and Sonic at the Olympics vs the other Sonic games (ignoring issues of quality).
The key is not rehashing an older gameplay style or offering an experience that can benefit from the advantages...
That's a correct distinction, but like most wii owners I'm just mocking them cause I hate hearin crap from reviewers and developers and gamers about nintendo. I own a ps3 slim and wii. If you guys listen to any reviewer's scores instead of amazon reviews and a personal knowledge of preference you deserve the boring and unoriginal games you play.
The Conduit was slammed for not being original. Pretty much every hd gamer faulted the game for it in reviews or comments. Difference is they didn't take off points for that reason...
Having played DDR to 10 foot songs and GHWT, let me say wii music destroys both in originality, creativity, and fun. 60 hours wii music to 40 hrs GHWT and I regret nothing (my musician friends like it more too)
LBP is much slower. Mario is a twitchy pure reaction time challenge. LBP reminds me more of platformers meet Rube Goldberg.
Homebrew and wii emulation will result in massive level creation (they have mario ai programming communities). Also as LBP shows us, user levels are good, but usually fail to reach the quality of a developer level.

hell yeah scissor, my thoughts exactly. ps3 is cool but the games are so sparse. i got it for blueray (my tivo cpu replaced my dead main cpu...radeon is spent) and the titles I like are games like little big planet and 2d fighters that I could play on pc. warhawk is a big deal. though I did get a fragfx ps3 mouse so i can beast ps3 kiddies in their fps of choice ;)
