Because the video game had no story. AND for the record, I am NOT hating on Gears, I love the game, but that is the truth. On the bright side, that gives plenty of room to develop your own story as a movie director. :)

Didn't we go through this same thing with Killzone2? Now don't get me wrong, I like to see a game in full action also, but looking at the scans, so far, the art direction and quality in God of War 3 is unmatched. Nobody is bashing Halo Reach, it has awesome art direction too. It suits the game VERY nicely, and Reach should be an awesome game(graphics and gameplay). But the success of one does not detract from the other. Both games can be successful, and they will be.

Looking at the scans, God of War 3 surpasses my original imagination towards the game. So I say it has lived up to the hype so far. This series is known for great gameplay.
Check this out, I can tell you what is more important than 1080p. I think Reach will run @ 720p, which can be fine with a decent steady framerate. You must understand that more important than anything, Reach has the "STYLE" that it needs.
Art direction and style are VERY important , many times moreso than the actual resolution itself. Bad artwork in 1080p is just high defintion shyt.

I challenge you to get excited about this game. PS3 fans, I too was skeptical about Reach, but now that I see the scans, I feel great relief. This is the megamillion dollar makeover that Master Chief needs and deserves. If you are really gamers, be excited for our 360 friends. There is no need to hate. All of us should get to play the Halo Reachs and God of War 3s in our HD gaming generation. There seems to be plenty of gaming awesomeness going around for everybody in 2010.
When 360 exclusives come out (Halo Reach) you can play it.
When PS3 exclusives come out, (God of War 3) you can play it.
Enjoy each console for what they are worth. An Absence of gaming, only hurts the gamer.
The King has been out for quite sometime. The last 3 Halo games were not of kingly status, unless you are talking about sales. But THESE scans being shown, seem to be of King quality. And for me, it doesn't have to beat this game or that game, it just needs to be the HD version of Halo that we knew it should've been all along. It looks like 2010 will see that game come to light.
P.S., while we are at it, can we have an awesome story to go along with the game please?
I like the new look. Now THIS is how Halo is supposed to look in an HD era. The colors on Jorge remind me of Metroid suit, which is nice. The different colors are needed to accent the costumes of different characters. It makes them more easily identifiable, gives them more character, and even helps you to identify with them more, they now have personalilties.

Like Demon's Souls require countless hours of gaming but the saves are copy protected. They cannot be backed up without the PS3 backup utility. Also, Once all saves are backed up and transferred, they are removed from the original PS3, so it is more of a cut and paste to another console function than it is an actual "copy". These cannot be backed up to an external drive. These saves are a pain to deal with away from the original PS3 that they were created on.
360 owners pay more money per GB than any other electronic devices using harddrives? Or is it a coincedence?

That there are enough reward categories for Reach and GOW3 to safely grab up some. God of War 3 appears to have a great chance of picking up GOY. Yes there will be other good games to contend, but beating out the dedication to GOW3's art and scale will prove very hard to do. Can we stop taking shots at Halo and GOW for a day and agree that theu both should be very entertaining?
