Unlike Memory sticks, there is no off-the-shelf alternative for a 360 Harddrive. If you don't like Sony's memory sticks, buy a Sandisk, or hell even a cheaper brand from Walgreens, lol. Your results may vary, but you still have a CHOICE.
There is no excuse for a 300% markup on the price of these hdds. It is the one thing IMPOSSIBLE to defend for the 360.
Edit: @ ForROME - But that is not what you said... you said Sony PUSHED their Pro Duo Memory @ ridiculous p...
The more curious I am about it. I want to pick it up, but Mass Effect 2 on PC, Heavy Rain, and GOW3 coming out... whats a gamer to do?
keeps coming for PS3 exclusives. Great score for a bold new IP. Sony, keep encouraging innovation.
A new gaming experience with great reviews. A new IP too, nice way to invest in your gaming audience Sony.
I am playing this game right now on my DellXPS laptop, hooked up to a 46" Sharp HDTV, with my PS3 SixAxis controller. That is right, I am controlling Shepard with my SixAxis. I rigged this up after my 360 controller would not work with the game. It is also rumored that ME2 may come to the PS3 after all, especially since the "Only on XBOX 360" logo didn't make the box this go around.
A public attempt to be professional, but who knows, they could be laughing behind closed doors. Which would you rather have, someone who laughs in your face (Microsoft), or someone laughing behind your back (Sony). Either way, many folks think the iPad is a joke, all the way down to the horrible name.
If Sony and Microsoft said nothing, the device would be the same... which underwhelms most folks who have their head wrapped around tech.

Taking my 360 copy back to Walmart, it is unopened. I am playing Mass Effect 2 on my Dell XPS laptop with my SixAxis PS3 controller. I love it so far. This is not a bash, etc. Just info if anyone wants to know how to do this PM me. I am happy with the customizations I am able to achieve.
Or take all the ones from the End War game and hand them out for free to MAG owners. I am sure there are plenty leftovers from that game.
Don't know which genius overlooked this idea, they had plenty of time to think about it and get it right. That is why I said MAG shoulda been $40, they coulda bundled with the mic for the whole $60.
I'm not speaking for myself, I owned 2 great quality bluetooth sets before I owned a PS3.
just to lie about something pointless is puzzling.
It is almost unanimous that this device was a dumb idea. "Hey, let's take an Ipod touch and stretch it out real big and call it iPad, while charging hundreds of dollars more for it, and still use small flash memory instead of large cheaper but reliable hdds... and then try to compete with Netbooks that are superior in memory, processing power, hdd space, and internet browsing capbilities. What moron thought this up?
Oh well, so much for that "Genius" bar... mor...
If any of you haven't noticed, look at your copy of Mass Effect2. Do you notice anything missing? Yes the "Only on XBOX 360" label is not on the box. More than likely, this game IS coming to the PS3. Before anyone says it is because it is on the PC too, if you look at your old Bioshock box, it has a label that says, " Only on XBOX 360 and Windows"(which was a blatant and complete Microsoft lie). I know I am not the only one who caught this?
They didn't ...
I can respect your opinion. And it is ok to like whatever game that brings you satisfaction. ODST was just on the Richter Scale of disappointment to me, glad I rented it. That does not mean that many folks did not, and are still enjoying it, but it ain't for me.
But allow yourself a brief moment of honesty. If you take ODST and took "Halo" away from it, and it was not affiliate with the Halo name, but had the same exact characters, would you love it so much?
Should be excited for this release. Perhaps a few can stop blinding themselves by hating and bragging back and forth, and commend a seemingly wonderful job by the developers. BioWare is a gleaming light in a sea of crappy titles that hit ALL of our consoles. I mean seriously, if you add ALL of the games together from the PS3, 360, and Wii... there are only a few of this quality. And I am not talking SALES, but QUALITY. This is a great overall achievement for gamers, and thank god someone...
Take a mental trip to Japan where all those 360s SHIPPED to Japan took how many YEARS to actually SELL? Shipped is not sold, it is not a fanboy statement, it is a matter of definition that you need to fight out with Merriam-Webster. I know that even most of you can read (I may get disagrees for that).

The difference is that MAG is a new IP with 256 simultaneous players. The game was made and sold without the "guise" of it being a full campaign + online, unlike ODST. Every map in MAG is brand new to each player, so your argument fails. But I STILL woulda preferred a $40 price tag. But it seems that the development efforts that would've been used on making a campaign, was used into making a 256 player firefight work online. MAG is advertised and sold as what it truly is, an on...
It would be a shame though, you make me laugh. ODST was a horrible game by the way, I rented it. Screen tearing, XBOX1 graphics, just terrible. Thank God Reach seems to have broken away from this garbage and is creating the needed facelift. But that's right, Microsoft fans don't require quality in the millions of copies of games they buy, like ODST. I would sell you idiots snake oil too if it made me rich like that. Just slap a Halo label on it, and you could sell a disc shaped turd in ...
Nothing on the 360 should sell a million since it is the console of pirates choice. The 360 is plagued with more piracy than anything else this gen. Perhaps the typical PS3 audience is older than most of the 360 "mommy bought my console" audience. Perhaps they are not as easily swayed by million dollar ads, etc., and tend to listen to a friend's testimony and/or make up their own minds instead of a being programmed by a trailer or game commercial.
Edit: @ StanLee ...
Thank you for that testimony. Informational posts like this are very helpful on how to approach this game. After reading your comment, I want to go out and buy this game. If I do, I may pick Raven as well... SVER has too many according to what I've been reading.
Enjoy that game... bubbles to you for giving the game a chance.
I had planned on getting this anyhow. Dammit! Too many great games coming from all angles now.
You can buy a 1 Terabyte drive PLUS a game for that price. And still have enough money for a combo meal from McDonald's Menu. Good Lord, how do you guys... nevermind. Don't feel like losing bubbles over something as ignorant as this. Buy whatever you like... I'll be spending that cash towards games.
