There is no perfect game. The only game I had no upfront complaints about so far is MGS4 (as Colonel-Killzone stated). Alan Wake does not have to be perfect to get the job done. But to insist that it may be such only leaves room for nitpicking.

Microsoft has squandered an entire year alone on the next-gen market. Sony was on to something when they relaunched the PS3 via Slim. Microsoft needs to do the same thing. They need to release a 360 Slim Natal bundle @ $250... it would be very attractive.

The newest glowing review for Alan Wake places the real-time no bullshyt completion play time at 10-12 hours solid. And there is NOTHING wrong with that. I expect some backtracking, but if done correctly it can solidify the storyline. People need to 1) stop hating and 2) stop overhyping this game. This game seems to be able to stand on its own 2 legs if people will let it. There is no need for the lies and misinformation and BS overhype... just enjoy the damn game.

On topic, game is looking pretty decent, there is a gaping hole in the scare genre, and a decent spook game is needed since the last one that comes to my mind is Dead Space.
