Because buying a PS3 for $299.99 and a PSV for $249.99-$299.99 for a whopping $550-$600+ for the optional ability to use a PSV as a PS3 controller that will have little support from developers is highly illogical? Not to mention it will probably cost more than a Wii U.
Considering the Wii U is going to be more powerful, and will have a tablet controller out of the box that will do everything this does, why would you buy a PS3/PSV over a Wii U?

Thank god. I wish more people would just listen. A console is about it's games. The PSV (Yeah, I'm picking one up) is seriously a monster handheld and can produce a very big quality product. But the titles that Nintendo will release is the reason the DS did so well.
When the PSV releases, the 3DS will already have an abundant library of games. Better hardware or not, it's going to come down to affordability and what is on the handheld currently to play.
This is pretty much what I've been asking for since I had heard of OoC 3D.

Yeah, I'm on your side here. PSV being cool or not, I'm not buying one until it's line-up consists of more than 4 interesting titles. I bought the 3DS because I had seen the line-up for it.

Sorry, I'm gonna have to agree with L6RD7BLU3 on this one. I'd much rather have a 42" 3D LED HDTV at 1080p than some 24" 3D HDTV that gives two 3D pictures so someone else can play.
