Sony only needs 1 of these games to take off. Late or not, if they can get one with mass appeal whales throwing money at it they will be set for a long time.
The gpus of a pc cost more then 10 years of paying for online console gaming.
Because those other console have over 100 million sales, that's a lot of potential customers to cut out. But I agree, I would like to see focus on current gen now that stock issues seem to be sorted.
@orchard
Sony wants online games and if buying bungie means a developer doesn't get pulled off a so project I'm all for it... Though I do think they overpaid for bungie.
They were offered the extension and 10 year deal to try and make it look like they won't take cod away eventually. MSoft is trying to make this look like a non issue and the regulatory hosts are calling them out on the bs.
Different administration's
Cod has killed any interest in almost any other FPS. It sells that much on name alone and pretty much every other shooter gets ignored on name alone. That's why those ips were abandoned, they don't sell
I'm not rewriting anything, but few people got it at launch. It picked up steam after it was patched /heavily discounted and word of mouth grew and when it went free to ps plus. People liked it despite its issues, which were less when it gained popularity due to numerous patches.
People forgot the game received numerous patches... It released with issues and the critic reviews reflect that. The game got a second wind after word of mouth and some articles stating it was in good playing condition now.
Seems like it's the mechanics that are giving issues... Coukd be improved in with patches, will have to see how the devs respond.
And the reference makes me more likely to pick it up, love me some xcom.
Just spruced up creation engine.
Those games don't sell, you know that and sony knows that. Casuals buy COD on name alone they care about nothing else. Those casuals maybe will buy some of sonys exclusives as long as they have the console, but they won't buy the console just for them. They will buy the only console cod will be on and stay there.
A third person, tactical, 1 death per round game is the same as a First person twitch shooter based around respawns?
If sony were to allow gamepass on its platform I'm sure they would be happy to allow it. Microsoft is trying to force sonys hand by buying the biggest 3rd party publishers and starving them of content, it's their only move left.
Ah yes, something that came out 2 years ago vs something that came out 45 years ago, totally the same thing.
Those last 3 were acquired by Microsoft it's and some very recently.
@thesoftware gamepass is on pc to, so that argument makes no sense.
Exactly. I had fun with deathloop but in the end I was pretty disappointed with the hand holding. Also for all the hype about how levels change based on when you visit them, you can only beat the game 1 way. You HAVE to visit certain levels at certain times or you can't beat the game. I was hoping for a more open ended set up and take down.
Sounds like you need to keep better track of your things.
