I hate whenever a game puts weight behind the characters movements and makes it more realistic people call it clunky. Everything doesn't have to have twitch response times.
It's a 30 hour game. But yes in 24 hours 20000 people raced through it and posted their dismay on metacritic.

The gameplay was ok, not amazingly groundbreaking, but it was solid. The narrative though? Was over the top amazing. From the gut bunch in the very beginning of the game to the development of the characters of the course of it. It was masterfully crafted and absolute breath or fresh air. I played the game 4 or 5 times when it came out because I couldn't get enough. And I have recently replayed it getting ready for part 2 and loved every moment of it again.

Free speech doesn't apply to privately run companies. You can go outside and spout Last of us 2 leaks all you want, that is free speech. But you can't use a private companies platform and claim free speech if they don't like the content. Sony owns the rights to Last of Us which includes the story, they have every right to claim copyright on something that is being leaked ahead of the game being out.

If digital is all there was, yeah I'd buy digital. If it's digital only (for now) and physical coming down the road, I'm buying physical and at that point probably waiting for the game to drop to 20$ or buy it used since they made me wait.
It will cost them in the long run when retailers refuse to sell the console or carry the game ever.
