I wonder if SCE's schedule look something like this:
- July SCEJ/A event (they said they would hold an event before TGS).
- August GamesCom (European studios, more game announcements)
- September TGS (Japanese games, JPN/global launch date, etc etc)
And then boom!... October 29th gamers go crazy.
It would be epic and gamers would get their fix on a monthly basis until launch.

Sony wouldn't mess up on BOTH of those, even though I'd like some PS4 GoW action :P
People see what they want to see and/or believe, that's the problem right there.
Especially the media in general, it's easy to point fingers...sadly they get away with it as well.
Culture and mentality is also vastly different, nevertheless it's an interesting argument between the two.
If only more politicians would be more down to earth like the reporter...

They are lying left and right to everyone just about every damn thing.
As a consumer it's hard to believe anything they say at this point or have any faith in said company.

I wonder why they don't slap a subtitle on these games, release them as DD and call it a day.

On-topic: IIRC Sweden censors almost everything that has to do with "under age" girls, I believe DoA was banned there as well because the girls looked too young or something.

To support this information, final dev-kits will be sent out either this month or July.
Why SCE takes so long to finalize the kit is unknown, in some ways it's a bit messy considering the console is launching in approximately 5 months.
But it speaks volumes that developers are working with "incomplete" kits, yet able to get amazing results at such an early stage.
Even more so when you think about all the eye-candy we'll be seeing in the years...
