That's what Mark Cerny meant and showed during their conference that one can use the GPU to assist the CPU (in simple terms).
They know what their doing and designing, I'm happy about the specs to be honest.
You can do a lot more (especially with the highly customized GPU that's in the PS4).
Less chance of bottleneck, I'm not that tech savvy either.
But a few things I do understand, I'm loving all these new finds.
Because Sony really pulling the "specs are subject to change without notice" card and more and more interesting stuff is being revealed.
All in all PS4 will be a beast of a system, I curiously await to see what MS announces....
Actually that's great news and seems credible.
2GHz --> 4GHz with AMD TurboCore I believe, so for general computing tasks it's better than Cell.
It's more powerful than a 7850 actually, but yeah if we were to compare the GPU between a 7870/7850 it would be closer to a 7850.
Yeah I got that flag also, but they were spot on with their leaks, more so than other websites.
Regarding the link you just posted I submitted a rumor earlier on N4G.

As it says on all released information by Sony thus far.
The official spec sheet released by Sony clearly states "AMD next-generation Radeon graphics engine".
Which makes these new bit of info even more credible, that would be a nice bonus as it's more efficient as well amongst a lot of other things.

The event did what is was supposed to, make people aware what lies ahead this year without giving up too much details.
And even that is understandable, why show all your cards now when you got a whole year to keep people interested.
If you actually watched the video you tried to submit you'll see that the video contains both PSP AND PSVita.
So it's highly unlikely that tomorrow's video will be about PS Vita...makes me wonder what the video will be about.

I think we can assume that PS4 will have a optical drive that supports BDXL.
Especially since the system supports 4k movie playback and Sony is pushing 4K in general.
