Have just played the first two episodes but so far there are many striking resemblances with the first game. It's not an exact copy but there are enough resemblances to justify it being a remake.
Blow me!
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Using a proxy isn't something new. Hardly any news and hardly a hack.
I also don't see how Sony are supposed to fix this. There is no way to know if the ip from the host connection to PS video store is from a PS3 or a proxy server.
If you play NASCAR you got bigger problems to deal with. ;)
Both yes and now I think. DICE is owned by EA but DICE is such a huge name in the industry (with roots back to the Amiga age with Pinball Dreams) so EA is letting them work very independently.
Also one of the founders of DICE said in an interview that them being located so far from EA:s headquarter adds to them being able to work without EA intervening.
Well the colour pallet does make the game look different but I also find that it lacks the coat of shininess all materials in other UE3 games seem to have.
Someone from Insomniac described the Unreal Engine in the Capcom Bionic Command podcast as "Vaselina Vision". I find that pretty appropriate. :)
Yeah more games featuring innovative gameplay is needed. As long as they make it a natural part of the game so it doesn't end up as a fun gimmick attached to a game where it doesn't belong.
"For all those bashing the UE3. Well, let's see you guys make an engine that's better?"
I only find one way to interpret that sentence.
Even if someone isn't a coder he/she can still have a personal opinion about how a game looks.
And BiH:HH uses a modified version of UE3. Gearbox have added a lot of their own code to the engine to be able to go for the artistic direction they want.
Unfortunately a lot developers today seem to go for the "fast cas...
The Frostbite engine is made with destruction as the center piece and therefore only fits games with destruction as the key part of the game. If your not going for destruction there's other engines more appropriate.
However, this is the case for most engines. They are built with a single or a couple of games in mind and therefor doesn't often work well with other games. UE3 for example looks great with Gears and UT3 and other games featuring environments with a lot of metal. Unfortunate...
You don't have to be an artist to appreciate art.
Funny that G4TV praised KZ2 for the A.I.
Can't wait to get my hands on the full version.
FYI Mirror's Edge uses UE3 together with a third party lightning engine called Beäst from Illuminate Labs.

That's the reason it looks different.
Stop using that avatar!
It creeps me out.
Coming in November huh? Well maybe I have ordered my projector by then. Wonder if I dare to play this on a 77" screen?
Maybe. We just have to wait and see. It's probably fairly discreet (small and transparent).
Huh? Who decided 80% is bad? To me 50% is average. 80% is really good.
According to DICE they have added a reticle (not present in this video). Besides acting as a reticle it also acts as a focus point helping to minimize motion sickens. How well it works out remains to see.
People like you make me realize that there's still some hope left for us gamers. ;)
Despite the risk of getting an angry horde of fanboys against me I'm gonna say this:
Trophies and home? Sure, as long as they don't have to cut on anything else. The core gameplay is the most important aspect. Home support and trophies are just bonuses. Nice to have but not necessary.

I don't know about the US but in Sweden there have been several reports of the iPhone not even getting 3G coverage at all while other phones have had full signal strength (even standing 50m away from the base station didn't help). Something isn't right with the iPhone.
