In 2006, both launched head to head. This time around, Sony has learned the lesson that you just can't fight Gears of War 2 juggernaut.
The value of this good game will be better perceived once Gears 2 dust is settled so I think it's a wise decision to push the release back a little bit.
Now the question is if it will be enough time for the Gears of War 2 dust to settle.
Maybe because videos of this quality and size should be used for Nintendo DS vs. PSP comparisons.

Just for the record, the PS2 was in 24 million by this timeline with an incredibly high trend curve compared to 16.5 million of the Ps3, with a much slower trend.
I don't really see any bias towards Xbox 360. They do reflect bias towards genres in my opinion. For example, it's damn hard for a shooter to get more than 8 (Gears of War i.e.) but RPGs and racers harvest them itso facto.
If you're talking about their "next gen versus" I believe they give the more technical accurate comparisons in all the web. One can argue opinion but what they give if technical facts.
I do expect Gears 2 to get an 8/10 from Eurogamer but...
First reviews tend to be higher.
We need to remember that reviews exclusivity is part of a business and IGN made a great deal of it with Sony. Having the first ever Resistance 2 reviews must have brought ludicrous amounts of clicks to their website. In exchange they can grant a few points above. Fair enough from a business stand point but not necessarily ethical.

By the numbers, it was virtually a tie, and all points out that the Xbox 360 will outsell it by much more than that in the last Quarter of 2008. It's no secret that holidays is the most important season of the year.
I look at Charts like these almost every week of the year, yet some fanboy with a blog, managing inaccurate numbers tries to tell us that the PS3 is selling more software than the Xbox 360.
Just take a look at the Top 10. 60% of them are Xbox 360 titles, only 20% for PS3 and Wii respectively.
I don't see the Xbox 360 Review anywhere, but it got 9.0 on Gamespot.
Superior technical assets were mainly the reason.
