It will be tough because Sony has a huge market share and how normal is it to own multiple new consoles? I know it's done but that doesn't mean it's common among the non hardcore which makes up most of the market.
NX must be something really unique which offers a gaming experience that's impossible on any other console.
I think the NX is the successor to BOTH the 3DS and the Wii U.
One could argue that actually they're quite IN TOUCH with the gaming community, hence the amazing console sales and hence the recognition that Let Plays are very popular.

I like the idea of extending my gaming experience in certain games. Season pass is a gamble because a lot of times things are in there that you wouldn't be interested in as DLC. You're essentially buying bulk to save a little. It doesn't always work out as a value purchase.
