Yeah it's crazy, I understand Digital Distribution will incur some costs for bandwidth but this is crazy, especially when they are already bypassing the distribution chains and delivering it direct to the consumer.
I guess that's why I'm still buying physical copies of my games.
Until DD stores start offering their games at an acceptable price, I'll continue to purchase physical copies.
$60!, eh no thanks Origin, I'll buy boxed retail for nearly half of that
Isn't their playlists in MW2 to play this way, Barebones classic or something like that.
Activision is what broke up IW. They got greedy, didn't pay the royalties due to West and Zampella and fired them.
EA should expect this when they send out alpha codes to 12 year old kids.
Do they really expect these kids to understand what a NDA even is? People just install the software and never read NDA's or EULA's.
I can make use of the code if you cannot run it on your PC :)
The code is for PC only. They are not linked to any account until redeemed.
I'd be happy to take your code NBT91 if you cannot use it. I game on PC
great, another FPS

Cool, thanks for info.
Have you gotten to try them out yet?
Thought they haven't been officially released yet. They look good. Are they stereo or 5.1/7.1 virtual surround sound?
RRP will probably be £49.99 no doubt.
The Mango update does look great.
I'm tempted to pick up a WP7 when Nokia shows what sort of handsets they'll be releasing with it.
This is also why games should not do online multiplayer trophies too.
Once the servers are shutdown you can never achieve them.
His issue is with the pricing of a digital copy of the game.
You can walk into a B&M store and pick up a physical copy, with box and manual for about 20% - 30% cheaper than it is on the PSN Store.
If Sony want us to buy digital then they need to sort out their prices. Just this week they put Red Faction on the Store for £58! This is insane, and I know it's out of Sony's control on this title because it was set by the publishers, but their ow...
He's talking about buying games digitally from the Store in future.
If you buy one from the store in the future that uses PSN pass then will you have to purchase the game and then the PSN Pass.
Because with a digital download there's going to be no piece of paper in a box with a code to redeem.
I would imagine if you purchased a game digitally that uses PSN pass then the code would be emailed to you along with the purchase receipt.
I would imagine it will release this year seeing as the beta is already out there for some.
I've been in the Beta and it's an excellent game. Very unique and the graphics/art style is superb.
I have no hesitation picking this up Day one after the beta.
EA's store is terrible.
What's funny about this is the COD engine is running on a modified Quake 3 engine.
Guess who originally created the Quake 3 engine? ;)
It's fantastic.
Day one purchase for me.
Art style is great and the music awesome too. Fits the game so well.
I don't think there's anything stopping you, unless it has changed with Origin.
When it was EA Download Manager people done exactly this to get into the MOH Beta. Preorder MOH, get beta code then cancel Pre-order.
I wouldn't rush to pre-order for a beta code though. I'd bet money that a number of the big game news sites will be issued beta codes for giveaway just like they've always done in the past.
