I noticed some texture pop-in at the start of the video too. It is slightly noticeable but I think I can overlook it.
The texture pop-in seems to be somewhat noticeable watching at 720p, but wow it's running so smooth.
So glad to hear that. I was going to wait for reviews to see whether or not to get it for PC or PS3.
My PC should have no problem playing it but I enjoy playing games on my consoles more these days and I was a bit concerned about it on PS3 as they never demonstrated it publicly on PS3.

As far as I know the patch that is being referred to here was the Day one patch when launched on PS3. No other patch has been released since, but a new one is needed badly to fix some big bugs.
There are some major bugs in the game.
Set your spring setups to 11 and 11 and you are basically on rails.
Also if you have realistic flags on you can do major corner cutting in Singapore.
Played the Beta too and it's an amazing game. Day 1 purchase here.
An interesting piece, but I think ultimately they try their best to balance as much simulation of the sport with entertainment.
It offers enough realism to make the game enjoyable. For example, if I was playing the career mode and I was on the 5th race of the season. I'm was traveling at 300kph and drove straight into a wall, chances are my driver would probably be dead in real life.

It's got horrible frame rate issues and terrible AA. The contrast levels seem to be way off internally too.
Yeah it's crazy. People seem to be happy just to write off the game because it got some 7's without even playing it.
And people talking about it being overhyped. If anything I would say it wasn't hyped at all. Most people didn't even know it was releasing.
