Sorry, I retract my trolling comment. Bad mood I'm afraid. But my original comment stands, plenty of game devs will say their game is the next coming of Christ, most just don't fulfill that promise. It's no different on Wii.
It's one of the best games I've ever played. It's not as difficult as many people make out, it's just different. It's a game where skill and timing are the key to success. And what makes the game for me a classic is the sheer atmosphere, the lack of a consistant soundtrack makes things more tense and is a stroke of genius.
And contary to popular belief it is one of the best looking games on the ps3. I cannot stress enough that if you don't own a ps3, ...
Many companies say their games will blow you away on any platform you choose to mention, and some don't. That's the way it is. Continue your trolling though.
I can't stand 720p on an HDTV! I'm used to 1080p!
Idiot...
So the wiimote has less lag?
I just think it's a pretty dark game really, it's not something that I can see most kids understanding beyond the shooting aspect, the story I mean. I see it more as an adult game anyway.
It's not that bad at all. And it doesn't stop the games from being fun. I recently went through Shadow of the Colossus on the ps2. If I'd used your logic I never would have played the game because the graphics aren't HD. So tell me, is Shadow of the Colossus not worth playing because it's not in HD?
I've played all of those on the list with the exception of EVE, and Cannon Fodder is a blast to the past. One of the most memorable intros to a game I've ever seen. Anyone remember the controversy the packaging kicked up because of the poppy on the cover?
Well it's not a kids game is it?
I've been playing Ico on the pc today, great game.
It's nothing like JRPGs though, it's in a class of its own.
I imported it last year, sod waiting all this time to play it. Glad they eventually got it here, but still, what a pisstake. Europe is a big market, should have got it here ages ago.
There will probably be these articles on Nintendo in 50 years time, it's not going away no matter how much a lot of you want it to. They've killed the opposition this gen, maybe they won't be as successful next gen. While the Gamecube and n64 wasn't as profitable, they still made profit - if you make profit you continue being a business. There's only so much a business can take when it doesn't make profit, not something that Nintendo has to worry about really.
Out of interest, why are you skipping it? Seems a bit foolish if it turns out to be an excellent game. Or are you skipping it just because it's Crysis?
You've been able to create new games on the pc for quite some time now. It's nothing new.
And since when has Mario been about the story? SMG2 has some of the best level design ever made. It is stunning, and I would put it up there with the best games ever made, maybe not no 1 but top 5 at least.
What, is Agent an old game then?
ShellShock 2: Blood Trails should be on any list of the worst games this gen.
Lol, that Tetris God one was excellent.
It was the game that got me into pc gaming, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to get one. They used to stick it on in our local game shop and let us play the demo, I'd never seen anything like it before. Then I badgered my parents into stumping up the cash for a pc, and convinced them that it would be a big help with my college work :P
One of those defining moments in my gaming life, I'll never forget it.
Romeros story makes for an interesting one though to be honest. I always enjoy reading stories about what he got up to in his moment of fame and success. He was irresponsible in the end, but he lived the high life.
He is talented, he just chose a different path.
