It's had TV ads, lots of print ads, and a full-page review in The Sun on Saturday, the day after it came out, so it has been promoted.

Clearly if KH is too much for the 360, it's too much for the PS3, too.. KH3 had better be on the Wii, then. Right, David?
To be fair to Square, the Dragon Quest DS ports aren't quick cash ins at all, and are easily as impressive as FF4 DS was.. If you want a quick, cheap cash in, look at Chrono Trigger DS - a straight port, not a remake unlike the FF/DQ DS games.
Square's initiative is driven by cash. Even if DQ doesn't take off worldwide, DQ9 on the DS in the DS-loving Japan will mean ridiculous, ridiculous sales.

Elveon is still being worked on. The studio who were initially making it were shut down, and production of that game was moved to an unnamed UK studio as of March this year. Thanks for playing.

It's laziness more than anything. It's already made for PS2, just needs dubbing and pressing to disc.
I also thing that KH would sell on the Wii, and I think we'll find this out for real in years to come.
I'll look into this tomorrow when I chat to the guys at Square-Enix Europe to check if this is also up for Euro release.
I will be in contact with Square-Enix EU first thing in the morning when their offices are open to confirm if this release will also be coming to the UK.
Even as the writer of the piece, I can agree that it is a bit over-enthusiastic. However, I do think both Fallout AND Valkyria Chronicles will be AAA titles. Most of PS3's stuff is coming in 09, though.
Well, Enchanted Arms isn't in the top 3 anticipated games... it's just mentioned as one of the PS3 RPGs avaliable. And it's got a really fun battle system - it's a shame the graphics and plot suck.

The reason Tales isn't on the list is that it's out. I should've mentioned it in the "RPGs that are out but are worth playing" list, though, so my bad.
Honestly, FF4 DS is more than a remake and well worth the price of admission. This is no simple port - indeed, it may as well be a whole new game.
I'm pretty sure the JP version includes both voice tracks anyway, so you could always import.

So, y'know.. that was hardly "bringing the hammer down", and not really a definitive denial at all. The Scribes that came out a month befroe Banjo was announced called somebody a "prat" for betting there was a new Banjo on the way. Scribes = not a good source, as it's just Rare messing about.
I think it's the writing that hurts this story more than anything. It's really badly written and so just feels spam/bloggy as opposed to news.
Sadly considering the trouble they had getting an Unreal Engine game to work on Xbox and past documented trouble with the PS3 and UE, I dread to think how bad this'd be on PS3.
