Even dogs don't do...
Gay sex is very common in most animal species. Humanity is the only one that makes an issue of it.
Not about great games, more about day 1 (and day 2 and 3) patches, server problems, etc.
More in the line of Lenin or South American rebel leaders. Starting of as an intelligent and charismatic leader, got paranoid by the power and started killing off (imagined) opponents.
Still wonder wether ex-presidential candidates actually play the game.
But yes, Louis is presented too nicely (in stead of being known as the most decadent and selfcentered of kings), and yes Robespierre is depicted as somewhat of a naieve idiot in stead of the radical left wing revolutionairy he was.
But how that matters to anyone but historians is beyond me.
Unplayable on AMD, these headlines are always such flamebait.
It's running just fine on my old 6950.
If it had been a new IP (and not been that thoroughly marketed) it would've had ok reception.
People were just expecting Origins 2, which entailed isometric combat, an epic scale story, customization in both who you play as and how to equip your companions and a lot more attention to detail (like not copying areas)
If you market an ok game as the game of the century, people will get angry.
Hehe red, I so hope that's a pun intended!
So like Call of Duty but with dragons?
(I do so apoligize, I couldn't help myself, it's the only recent true lineair sp campaign I could think of)
Have you played the Witcher 3? So how do you know all those promises are true?
Enemies don't scale, story is still superimportant and all side quests are relevant to it, consequences to your actions...
That could've come straight out of any Inquisition preview.
- So one: DA makes good on a lot of its promises and will be great
- And two: Let's see what relevant sidequests and focusing on the story and consequenc...
Well, they told me my amd 6950 couldn't run it, and from all the complaints I hear around here I'm doing better than most. There's definitely issues, but to my standards it's playable.
Shiny hair, shadows, view distance and blurring stuff in the distance.
Finally a comparison where someone like me can see the difference clearly. Still, not enough of a reason to upgrade my rig.
KOA:R was a great game, but DA has a greater game to learn from in Origins.
To say that the combat should be more like Devil May Cry is enough for lovers of the isometric (like me) to see you burned, flayed and dropped in acid.
The storyline and characters in Amalur weren't near as engaging either.
Not all gamers care about the power consumption of their gigs. Tempterature I understand, but even that is really only interesting for overclockers.
In the high end the 290 might take it on points here, but elsewhere, the 970 is simply more value for money.
Still, it is exciting to see Mantle improving performance (even if I can't enjoy it)
I wonder if that'll mean my 2500k and 6950 will be able to render this acceptably, considering the impact of Mantle.
It'd be nice if it could manage some beauty before I have to upgrade entirely.
Actually the best review so far, clearly stating the things that were right and those that weren't.
And also kinda confirming that the best of both world (in action vs tactical combat) means a compromise to both.
- not responsive enough for action,
- and to awkward a camera, and too few micromanagement options for tactical.
And in conclusion: still a great game.
Is Stevivor always a bit low on scores (compared to their actual review)? I don't mind though, these days an 8/10 usually means mediocre at best. If I had 8/10 in school, that meant pretty darn amazing.
Ooh that first point is just... it's bait really. As if the reused envorinments were the only glaring flaw. I would've gotten over that so quick. (Combat, customization and preset human lead character were more glaring, in case you've forgotten ;) )
That said the keep is fun, definitely will get you back into it.
As long as it's still a Bioware-directed narrative. Too often the openworld-aspect feels more important than the storyline in openworldgames. I want to get sucked into a story more than I want to visit a world (so be Bioware, not Bethesda).
Hell, I was just getting used to the change from top-down to 3rd person.
So DA is both mature and childish by that logic?
The option to romance same-sex characters (who aren't all bisexual for your convencience but have some semblance of an identity) seems like a logical part of roleplaying.
If you can choose to be an elf or a qunari, you should be able to choose whether you're gay or straight.
How mature it all is, well, that depends on how it's done. Sex as a reward for a lot of gifts and three or ...
