FFCC:TCB and the separate DS version, Ring of Fates, definately have me psyched. They're right up there on my list with Metroid.
I dunno, the browsers are pretty good for looking at youtube and stuff. Especially if someone is using your computer. I dont have the PS3 one, but the wiimote makes the wii opera browser pretty damn sexy to use.

1080p resolution is approx. 1000x1000 pixels, 1,000,000.
480p resolution is approx. 400*400 pixels, 160,000.
Thats 6.25x larger.
6.25X the storage space of a dvd, what, 4.5GB? I'm not looking it up, thats close enough, = 28.125 (GB) or roughly the storage space in a BluRay/HDDvd disc.
Thats how this type of stuff works out.
You cant fit more game on an HD - DVD disc, you use all the excess for the graphics making...
Storage space is proportional to power is proportional to screen resolution. Trust me, the Wii is a fine piece of engineering, they've thought this out. If you enabled Devs to run a game at 720p, the customers would demand it, and the games would suffer.
Sounds like Nintendo doesnt want them making "HD" games. Maybe it is a game quality - strategic move. If they removed the feature in the dev kits, maybe HD games struggle in other areas given the size / power of some of the components.
IE: its capeable, but they'd rather dev's dont use it, and just concentrate on making good games at the lower res.
Yeah, screw the public, lets just make games for elite PC owners.

I would hardly call the Wiis functionality "limited". Some things arent flushed out fully, and there are a few things that are lacking (HD-DVD/etc.) But not upgradeable? Um... What about those USB ports on the back? Downloadable channels and firmware upgrades?

All these numbers say to me is that nothing has changed. The Wii is selling a lot, but does that really surprise anyone? The PS3 is doing better than the XBox in Japan. Again, so? Oh no! HD is overrated, expensive do develop, expensive to buy, and no fun to play. The Wii is doing things right that are too complex for your little brain to understand.

Grown ups can enjoy Sonic, SSX, The GodFather, Call of Duty, RedSteel, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Zelda, Wii Sports, etc. There are many games that are fun no matter how old you are.
I'm 22 and I have no problem playing Wii games and enjoying them.
My brother is 30, he has a problem playing them because he is stuck in his ways, but he is coming around as the Wii becomes more mainstream. When he finally buys a next gen system, it will probably be the Wii.

Olympic based games were always better multi-player games than solo games. I have a feeling this one will be VERY well developed though. Just hope it isn't an early April fools joke. I hope they don't weaken Mario or Sonic so that they're more even on all the different events.
I was wondering how they'd follow up Wii Sports. Sure, Sonic will easily win the speed events, but Mario has the upper hand in the jumping and plumbing events.
He's right. I really LOVE my Wii, and at the same time... Home sounds really neat. Not neat enough to sell the console though, even at 499.
When push comes to shove, Home is one of those things that makes you go "WOW!"... But then you think about it for a second, and realize it isnt as great as the idea, and it never can be.
Where did you get that? How can FFCC be part of any regular FF story? The races arent even the same.
I wouldnt want it to be integrated, its a great NEW series... They should take FF off the front so all the "Traditionalists" will leave this little game that could alone.
