Thats the nicest anyone has ever said something like that online. I kinda agree, I'm a bit pissed off at the Wii right now, I feel like I've wasted my money on 3 or 4 games (i have a lot) -- but at the same time, I dont think the PS3/XBox would be better.
The PS3 will do fine. It is selling about as good as the XBox360 did, its just a year behind.
The Wii will also do well. The Wii target audience overlaps that of the PS3 and 360, these articles that suggest otherwise are kinda dumb. Notice, however, that I said "overlaps", not "is the same".

That will change soon. Nintendo is bringing back developers... A while back Ubisoft appologizing for releasing games that were of poor quality, it was on this website.

True, there are a few things that are a bit better, edges and such, but this is also true of VC titles like StarFox 64. The ported games look identical because they ARE identical. That doesnt mean the Wii is weak, that means that the company is lazy and thought it would sell without a graphical overh...

Patents are weird that way, its in the specific wording. If nintendo mentioned once that it was an always online feature (something only the wii is capeable of) then the patent will ONLY apply to systems that are always on. This would make it completely different from XBox Live.
If the videos are delayed on the apple tv, they wont be of much use... unless there is going to be a better youtube for apple only, i dont see much point to it.
The wii is great that way, the wiimote is by far the best thing for stuff like that... rivals a mouse.

HDDs use a lot of power, which generates a lot of heat, which means that Nintendo couldnt have one in it. Thats why they used that fancy flash ram (or whatever) instead. If the HDD is external, it can have its own fan, and doesnt add to the heat/power consumption of the core unit, which means that connect24/etc. can still work. You could technically still download and stuff while the wii is "off", you'd just have to transfer it after the wii (and external HDD) were turned back on...
