I still feel AC games have too much boring filler... But reading this made me reconsider to some degree. When I play a racing game I can do the same or similar tracks over and over again if the driving is fun and the challenge is adequate... I guess a good open world can have plenty of repetition as long as the combat is satisfying and the world is fun to explore... However I still feel as though the combat in AC games or even the Witcher 3 actually is not very satisfying to warrant 100 hrs o...
@morganfell I'll probably have to pay 100$ or more per game here in 🇨🇦 and I agree... I'll probably swallow the pill and buy games still... But you can bet I'll be picky as hell and I'll buy physical just to resell any disappointing game.
Even though I would personally pick visuals over 60 fps myself I agree 100% with you it's too bad they don't give the option. Besides I game on 1080p screen my PS4 pro should have been able to do 60 fps 1080p with maxed out visuals instead of 1440/4K 30 fps but few games have that option as well...
9/10 (trying to save others a click). Curious to try it out myself.
Lmao indeed what a shit show ! I thought they dropped the "one" as in just series x or s... I can totally imagine parents going crazy trying to figure it all out.
I agree XGP is amazing except I wish they had better single player first party games like Sony.
Edit: to be fair though its only a matter of time before Microsoft hikes the price of XGP as well. But regardless I think it'll remain a good value.
@Hakuoro
Why? Well as an option.
I wish I could buy the digital only version but I have 5 physical games that cant be purchased on the Playstation store...
I agree physical games are probably gonna eventually phase out though... And when they become niche, consoles will no longer have disk drives. However it wont be before at least another generation. I think subscription services and streaming are gonna kill it ultimately just like mu...
For sure there are tons of games in the works for PS5 but we'll hear about them when they are ready to tell us no point trying to guess.
The one thing I am curious about is if there are new hardware features or changes to the subscriptions (PS+ and PSNow) coming to PS5
Cant wait for digital foundry's analysis :). Not that it would affect my purchasing decision but its nice to see what the hardware is capable of.
"lazy indies"... Wait what?
I actually feel as though both the first and second game are masterpieces in their own right but the second one is not that good as a sequel... if I could play the second game wiping my memory clean of the first game I feel as though I would appreciate TloU II better.
Naughty Dog is a top tier developper but I hope they leave this IP alone for at least the next 2 games.
Well he is also the most popular reviewer on youtube by a landslide. Even IGN's reviews only get a small fraction of his views. Granted he is very often ridiculous but he takes the time to go into details and highlights the good and the bad regardless of his scoring.
If you watch his follow up video you'll see he knows his dislike for the story isnt unanimous even within his close friends.
Sadly I'm afraid Rayman Legends didnt make enough money ... :( I doubt we'll see more from that IP for a while.
Rayman Legends was such an underrated gem.
It sucks Rayman Legends didnt sell that well... A 3D game from the same team would have been awesome!!
For TV mode sure but as far as portability goes... Switch is hard to beat.
@Tacoboto Man thank you for the explanation, I totally forgot about that!
And now to think of it you are totally right there were only a few minor upgrades besides resolution on ACIV I think it was like vegetation density and dynamic movement of certain things like ferns reacting to the player... Overall very minor things. Damn lol that certainly dials back my excitment for Valhalla.
Nintendo is doing great I just wish they would announce their holiday plans. Nothing coming as of now in the near future beyond Paper Mario :(
Ouch, man that is hurtful 😆. I think Xbox has great services i.e. good machines, good online services, great subscription service.
But I totally agree with you! Where are the games? I look forward to their next presentation too... Even if I'll probably stick with Sony.
Heyyyy what about the rest of us? 😆 we want our games!
:/ well that part doesn't brighten my day
