It's my favourite IP this generation. I don't know how people can say single player games have no replay value. I've played DS1 through at least 10 times and at least 5 for DS2.
An engine is much more than just the graphics too, the animations and the tools to make varied environments etc all make up the atmosphere of the game.
Battlefield 3 was very scripted and underwhelming in design and in graphics. ( I played it on PC maxed and it is overrat...

Dead Space 2 had a great art style and the best performance:visuals ratio of any game I've ever played.
There are a lot of games that wouldn't look as good if they used frostbite.
You realise GOTY is not necessarily an indication of quality, but rather an indication of popularity?
Basically the last 10 games I would buy are GOTY because in order to obtain that level of mass appeal they have to water down the difficulty, narrative and game length just so the ADHD kids can finish the game in 4 hours with their trophy/achievement in hand before moving onto the next 'GOTY/AAA' title.
S.E has released nothing but ports of old games on DS for the last few years and FF13 is universally regarded as the worst FF ever and the last FF MMO tanked hard.
They haven't made a good game in almost 10 years.
Capcom has truly lost it. Someone needs to buy capcom and fire all the execs and start fresh with their franchises before they bury their company into the ground like Square Enix did.

I don't know who had the gall to disagree with you. YOu, as the customer; have every right to be angry about restrictive DRM in your game.
I pre-ordered it ( the first game I had even bought in a long time ) because I was lead to believe by their constant media claims of a DRM free game and their anti-drm stance; that the retail game would have no DRM...

Lol. It sure did. It marked the departure from innovative games to an entire generation of linear scripted games as a result of weak specs from day 1.
This resulted in a lack of depth in gameplay because of restrictive level design they had to cater to the lowest common denominator and replace narrative with spectacle.

It outsold COD4(PC) lifetime sales in it's first week on PC...people truly deserve the DRM, DLC, 4hr campaign, yearly rehash culture they have created.

1. You don't own your games.
2. The graphical fidelity will be hindered by their desire to limit bandwidth costs
3. YOU DON't OWN THE GAMES!!! - aka if you stop paying, you stop playing...not a good way to game.

I agree that streamlining can be a good thing, I hope they change the UI so the game can have gamepad support on PC for ME3. The controls were so simple there was really no reason not to have gamepad support.
UT3. 16v16 bot matches. It had sooo many game types. Vehicle capture the flag was particularly epic in it.
You've never really played Vehicle CTF until you've driven one of these.

People need to stop watching advertisements I think. I owned all 3 consoles last gen and when all 3 launched this gen without their usual IP's and mediocre graphics I decided to skip this gen of consoles.
PS3 had no FF, Wii had no Mario, Xbox had no Kotor or Battlefront...
Even when the 360 launched it looked like crap compared to Doom 3 from 3 years earlier. I was playing in 1600x1200 with 16...
That's still not an explanation. You didn't state WHY you think it has a bad storyline, gameplay and what the glitches were.
