POG, I usually agree with what you have to say. However, there are only so many features you can add to services like Live and PSN. They can keep adding this and that, but eventually they'll be on par with each other. Whether MS makes Live free or not is anyone's guess, but I think it will eventually be free. I hope so, at least.
Believe me, if PS3 surpasses the 360, it will surprise no one, considering the insanely huge PS2 install base. But look at the market share. Sony will not be the dominating force it once was, and MS will eventually beat Sony. MS is the more aggressive company, and they like to throw their money around.

What is PS3 the king of? It sure as hell isn't multiplatform games, which amount to 90% of games out there. The 360 is the undisputed king of those.
Live gaming? Please. When they announce PS4, Sony will brag at E3"...and it comes with all of the online and dashboard features of MS's last gen console, right out of the box!" Then all of the Sony fans in attendance will hi-five and have gay make out sessions to celebrate.

Well the Xbox 360 does have some horsepower to it, hence less slowdown and smoother running games.

The 360 has been at its current price point for awhile. It's naturally time to cut the price. It has sold well at every price point. When sales start to stagnate, it's time to cut the price. What better time than E3 time to cut the price (other than the Christmas season)?
Juuken, do you like western style shooters? If you don't, then Halo and Gears won't be for you. I love both, especially Gears.
Just because any of you don't like Gears 2 don't mean it won't be awesome. If someone doesn't like MGS4 because they don't like the storyline, gameplay or cutscenes, does that mean the game isn't awesome? No, it doesn't. Some of you are bashing Gears just because you don't own a 360. Gears 2 will be one of, if not the best game of the year.

Unlike other controllers, the 360 controller is based on research. It fits in your hands perfectly and is the absolute best for shooters.
ikiru, you should try Gears of War and Halo 3. Ever play Condemned? One of my favorites. Also, you should download Bomberman from XBLA. And just about any multiplatform game will play better on the 360. The controller is built for shooter games.
Kleptic, just so you know, I have a 1080P Samsung. They have the big teaser video on Xbox Live, which included lots of in-game footage as we all know. I can assure everyone that Gears 2 in-game looks amazing, and certainly way better than those crappy shots with poor video and resolution.
It certainly is funny how every Gears shot looks amazing and then these four happen to come out with crappy quality, and people can't shut their mouths about it.

Great games? My friend the 360 has an ABUNDANCE of great games. PS3 owners are the ones that have had to wait for games to come out. For quite awhile, the 360 had more great games than the PS3 had games period.
Yeah, everyone knows that the 360 has had reliability problems, but they are getting better with time. The newer ones have a much greater chance of lasting.

The 360 controller is the best ever. With the exception of slightly updating the D-pad, I hope they don't change a thing.
No one is throwing in the towel. Price cuts will come in time, when it makes economic sense to do so. Two factors will determine a price cut: 1) if sales slow up enough - this is what forced them to cut their initial price or
2) (more likely) parts and manufacturing the PS3 become cheap enough where it would still be profitable to cut the price.
