You can use those features to get used to the game and then take them away to challenge yourself as you get better. If GT5 had them you'd all be saying what great features they are.
I would say that because PS3 dropped its price rather quickly and because it was awhile before the PS3 had more than a few good games to play, it wasn't smart to buy at launch.
I love GTA IV, but my main problem with it is that there needs to be checkpoints within the missions. And if you die, you should be able to go back into the mission with the amount of energy and protection you originally had going into it.
You could take several minutes filling up your energy and driving to a weapons dealer to get a bullet proof vest, get real far in a mission, die, and then start over again without the vest. That was aggravating. Overall, great game though,...
Shane usually I disagree with you, but I have to give props to you here. I'm surprised you said Gears shouldn't be on the list since you're a PS3 fan. But you're right, Gears shouldn't be on the list. I loved Gears 2 as well, even more than 1, but if you didn't like it it's your opinion.
I've never played Killzone, so I can't really comment on the gameplay, but I do think that the graphics are amazing.
They don't need to kill the franchise. After Reach, just let it sit for awhile. Then when the time is right, introduce Halo 4. I have read rumors that Reach may be an open world game. I have no idea if it is true or not, but it could breath new life into the series if it's true. I do know it will have an updated graphics engine, so that at least should make things seem fresh.
Well see Mooey, you say I'm in denial, but I'm not so sure. When other websites back me up, as well as user comments on the lensoftruth website itself under the shots, it's hard to claim denial. I think you're the one denying that for most games, the PS3 isn't as crisp nor does it show more detail.
Now Mooey, if I were in denial, I wouldn't be saying to get the PS3 version. My point is simply that the 360 has more detail in most areas of the game. I'm calling a spade a spade ...
Because of the Joker level, I won't argue that the PS3 has the nod here. However, giving the nod to the PS3 for graphics because the camera is zoomed out a little more is crap. In the majority of those screenshots we saw, any objective person would say that the 360 version has more detail. There were a couple pics that favored the PS3 version, such as the shot of the guard with better shadows and the water shot at the bottom, but the 360 clearly won in the rest of them.
Sony actually has some momentum for a change, and Sony fanboys are happy, but if VGChartz says the 360 is doing better, then all of a sudden the website is "inaccurate and run by 360 fanboys". Sony fangirls are the biggest babies.
That bundle is a great deal. If you've been waiting to get a 360, this is the time.
If a great game was made by a Nazi, I'd still buy it. When playing a game, I don't take into account the morals or politics of the person behind it. I just don't care.
Not to mention, I am against gay marriage as well. Although, I am for gays being able to have civil unions as well as the financial benefits that come along with it. I want them to be happy. The only part that I have a problem with is the holy matrimony part because I feel it's disrespectful to the Christian r...
A 10% failure rate isn't anything to brag about either. It's unreliable by industry standards. Unless you're willing to admit that the poll is full of crap, which it is.
These numbers are assuming that the PS3 will outsell the 360 every month from here on out. MS will cut prices, maybe introduce a slim of their own, and launch Natal. The PS3 still has its work cut out for it if it wants to pass the 360. Even if the PS3 passes the 360 in six years, the focus will be on the ne...
Wow, the term "10%" seems to be a significant factor for Sony these. First it comes out that a little over 10% of PS3s are defective, deeming the PS3 an unreliable machine, and then a 10% loss in each unit.
Unless of course you believe the GI poll was fanboy driven like I do. I don't believe 54% of 360s are bad, and I don't believe 10% of PS3s are bad. But since many of you believe the 54% figure, I guess that means you have no choice but to believe the 10% figure as...
No need to, you've been saying it since 2006.
Sorry to disappoint you. I didn't even read 1.4, but I'll humor you with a response:
"Sony has banked on creating new HD experiences in a very roundabout way....ive had the original us launch ps3 and ive watched it grow for many f.w. updates. Had sony used its time towards creating smear campaigns, sony would be in a sinking boat. ps3 is the defacto winner in this console war. those that dont know yet, will eventually have to swallow a really dry piece of reality." -...
I fixed the errors in your statement. You're welcome.
LOL it seems the MS onslaught is making people see the light. The PS3rd is such an epic fail it's not even funny. What a lump of junk. The games are underwhelming and the hardware is the most abominal electronic in the HISTORY of gaming. There's just too much fail in everthing Sony does, it's actually getting quite pathetic now.
Games - Most 360 games are shooters? Really? I think that's a stereotype. Consider that multiplatform games are about 95% of all games, and that there is a good variety in them. Your argument that most 360 games are shooters is weak. Simply because MS innovated analog trigger buttons and shooters play better on Xbox does not mean most are shooters...don't be confused.
Hardware - It's well known that the 360 outperforms the PS3 on most multiplatforms. Sometimes it's by the s...
I guess you guys believe that 10% of PS3s fail too, making it an unreliable piece of hardware. I mean, after all, it's the same article, the same poll, right? I mean sure GI said that the numbers were inflated, but c'mon, they're convenient for you, so why not spew them! Who needs facts anyway?
"It will be very interesting to see what the state of the industry is like in March, after the dust settles."
--With Alan Wake, Splinter Cell and Natal coming out...
"a lot of people got RROD/E74? "
Yes because we all know that when a console breaks you ignore the warranty and just go buy a new one. That's a typical Sony fanboy excuse.
It's nice to see the 360 gaining a little bit of ground in Japan. I said before that to MS, Japan is like a big rock that they'll keep having to chip away at, but they'll get there.
I'm sure with the Slim coming out, Sony will own sales for the time being, but it's nice t...
"im a gamer
so to me
sony is far ahead
so yes i am talking abuot games, hardware, reliability, and value "
Yeah well I'm a gamer too, and I think MS is far ahead. I'm talking about games, hardware, innovation and value. Oh yeah, and a way better controller. You got me on reliability on the old 360s, but the newer ones are fine.
Anyone who thinks they know video games because they play one system over another is a douche. There's only one...
99% of the Internet? Yeah right. Quit making Sony out to be a victim.
On another note, I think it's a wise move by Sony to come out with the Slim. It signals a fresh restart, gets people talking, and lets them notice the new price point. I'm a 360 fan, and I have no idea why anyone would condemn a company for wanting to boost sales. It's the name of the game.
Hell, I'm considering getting a Slim when the time is right (it still won't be for awhile). That way ...
