1.) MS already announced the X1 version uses next-gen tech.
2.) MS can't win, no matter what they do, in the eyes of some. If they DIDN'T announce this for 360 as well, you'd be seeing tons of "MS has already abandoned the 360" comments.
Bethesda needs to understand and appreciate their unique place in the gaming world (NOBODY makes SP openworld RPGs like them), and stop f***ing around with other projects. As a publisher, nearly everything they've touched has turned to sh*t...with 'Wolfenstein:TNO' being pretty much the lone exception. Wet, Brink, RAGE, Rogue Warrior, Hunted: The Demon's Forge....all MASSIVE failures. Even 'The Evil Within' looks to have taken a turn for the worse, based on impressi...
If it ties-in anything like the pre-release 6-part webisode series for Alan Wake...and has the same quality...I'm 1000% for this type of thing.

Based on past experiences with Ubisoft games, I'm putting this squarely on Uplay.
Played this last year on PC, and it's utter garbage ; can't believe they even bothered to port it to consoles. If you want to play a SP-only Doom-esque FPS, with great story and gameplay to boot, play the new Wolfenstein. Don't bother with this crap, unless it's in the $5 bargain bin.

@ Hydrolex.. You're either lying, or your "2k machine" is some garbage you bought through Best Buy or something, and is nowhere NEAR worth what you paid. My self-built rig only cost me around $950, and I've got i7 and 780GTX. I'm playing on all Ultra settings without so much as a stutter.
On my 2nd playthrough, and still loving it. I, for one, never doubted this game, simply because of the pedigree of the guys behind it.
After reading the updated impressions from the PAX East demos in the latest GameInformer, I'm really not very interested in this game any longer. They've changed a lot from the original reveal...and not really for the better. It's sounding more like that horrible Alone in the Dark reboot from last gen.

LOL? It's just like playing on an uber-console. I play all my favorite multiplat games on PC, and still use my XBOX wireless controller ; best of both worlds. If you can't afford it, that's cool...but it's silly and immature to just "lol" something you know nothing about.
