"He's a reasonably smart guy, compared to some other people who used to say some unbelievable things."
Um... that's not "tribute"...that' ;s called a backhanded compliment. Not to mention, Sony reps are pretty notorious for saying "some unbelievable things" as well.
Well, Uncharted 3 was a huge letdown (that excruciatingly long sequence trudging through the desert was hackish and boring as hell), so I'd hold off on crowning 4 the GOTY just yet. There's a TON of competition in 2015, thanks to the wholesale delays so far this gen, so I really don't think there will be a clear GOTY winner, overall.
I'm sick of all the HD overhaul crap. How about full-on reboots for some of the IPs you're sitting on, Sony? I'd love a reboot..or even a sequel...to Primal. And a follow-up to Drakan: The Ancients' Gates is WAAAAAY overdue. I love the direction the Tomb Raider franchise is headed now, and I think Sony should be using that as a template, rather than the quick-n-dirty HD ports.
He definitely came up a bit short in his original performance...
LOL...
Head of Marketing : "Hey, we need to do something to drive demand for The Witcher 3'S CE. Any ideas?"
Marketing team: "Why not announce that there's going to be a shortage due to high demand?"
HoM: "Genius! I'm sure to get a bonus for this"
In danger of BECOMING ARROGANT? Someone isn't familiar with Sony's resume...
So it NOW has close to the graphics it should have had LAST year? Lame. I guarantee I'll still be able to win every game using the same 2 offensive and defensive plays, like I have for over a decade now, and the final scores will largely be identical.
I'm trying to avoid using cheats/walkthroughs...but damn, some of the maps are so freakin' HUGE.
No, that would be my PC, with an i7 OC'd to 5GHz, 16GB of 1866MHz RAM, and a Gigabyte GTX780ti ; if you want to play multiplats at their finest, PC is the only way to go. And LOL @ "superior hardware" ; the PS4 is only powerful in comparison to the X1, and last gen consoles.
Exactly. Since the majority of games release in the past 7+ months have been multiplatform, I've been gaming almost entirely on my PC rig. My PS4 has been collecting dust, thanks to wholesale delays and no-shows, and my X1 only stays on because I have my cable running through it. My PC has been running every game I play at max/ultra settings, in 1080p and MINIMUM 60 fps (unless the dev locked it at 30) ; Thief, Wolfenstein:TNO, Watch_Dogs, AC4, Sniper Elite 3, BF4, COD:Ghosts, Child of...
I've been playing this on my PC all day...it's addictive as hell, and better than SE2.
Venus is cool I guess, but I REALLY want to explore Uranus... (◑_◑)
If it's anything other than JC3, I'm gonna be pissed.
Unless Sony magically adds another OS to the PS4 (which is highly unlikely, since they're more apt to REMOVE it *coughPS3OtherOScough*), they'll never be able to live up to match the X1's game resume feature. The X1 has 3 separate OSs for a reason, and Sony doesn't have the software chops to match MS in that department.
You are 100% correct...and sadly, yes, some people DO think the PS4 could render the entire game in that detail.
What they don't realize, is that modern game engines only fully render what can be seen in the current FOV. With a TPS, the character details are scaled back tremendously...especially their front/facial details...when you're actually playing the game. But devs like ND like to spend extra effort on transitioning gameplay into cutscenes, and therefore put a...
Unfortunately their game coverage is spotty at best, so there are tons of games that you'll never find videos of there.
Can't wait to play this on my PS4 4-5 years from now. :o
"proofs" ??
Thrustmaster T300 Sounds like one of those lame workout gadgets you see advertised in early morning informercials.
@ BattleAxe
No, you just don't understand. This means that hardcore PC gamers are getting screwed out of a game that could really push their rig, and allow them to see the fruits of their investment.
My current build has an i7 OC'd to 5GHz, 16GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866MHz RAM, and a Gigabyte GTX780ti...yet Skyrim with dozens of mods is still the only game I've played that makes my PC break a sweat. Watch_Dogs, Thief, AC4, BF5, Wolfenstein TNO, and anyt...
