What are you talking about??? MS doesn't "have" Sam Lake, any more than they "have" Crytek as a developer. It's a publishing agreement...nothing more. Why would the head of a small studio want...or have time...to write for another studio's game, when he's got his hands full with 2 other games (Remedy was also working on iOS).

True...but they've gotten out of the plasma market, so if someone wants one, they'll have to be quick to find one before they disappear. The Panasonic 4K would likely be a better option, if you have the $$.
My Sammy 55" LED 240Hz will do, until 4K becomes relevant, with regular content. I want 60"+, so the price will have to be a bit lower too.
I started playing Outlast on PC a couple months ago, and I only "lasted" as long as it took me to get to that first room with the library and bodies hanging from the ceiling....which was within the first hour, I believe. It reminds me of Fatal Frame, with the creepy atmosphere, and no weapons (the camera was useless to me...I could rarely stay cool long enough to capture a ghost in frame).
Did I mention I'm a wuss?
If you're a fan of ALL genres, there's plenty to enjoy on both platforms. If you're just waiting for that next big AAA action/adventure or shooter title, then it's a been pretty much a drought. BF4 and Ghosts were disappointing, and TF isn't everyone's cup of tea.
The biggest problem for me, is no (western) RPGs yet, and it looks like it will be late this year...or on into next...before that changes. I really hope TES:Online fails miserably, so Zenimax/B...

I'm O.K. with some indoor levels....just no more vertigo-inducing elevator shafts with lasers and toxic goo please. I wanted to kill the level designer for that crap.
If the X1 catches the PS3, MS will be in fine shape regardless. ;)

MS has known the future of the franchise would be on other consoles from the beginning, just like everyone else. It's not been a question, or a secret. This is merely making it "official". Thing is, just like with Dead Rising, Mass Effect and COD, TF will largely be associated with MS and the XBOX brand, regardless of it coming to Playstation.
Housemarque literally spends more time promoting the PS4 hardware than they do promoting their game(s). Sounds and awful lot like Sony....
