Yeah your right Hibs about DX12 making better use of hardware resources. But if you ask me and I think many would agree the X1 has the much better hardware also.
Exactly, there is absolutely zero reason why the PS4 should be out selling the X1 at this point. Other than the fact that online gaming media with hidden agendas are pushing the PS4 like there's no tomorrow. So it should come as no surprise that Phil Spencer and co are giving their exclusive interviews to outlets like TIC.
I will definitely be checking out this interview, should be very interesting. I'm hoping this will be the start of the end of the misconception th...
Ok I'm not normally into this type of game at all. And I'm still not entirely sure what the game actually is, but I gotta say it looks pretty darn cool much better than I expected.
I have a feeling you'll feel differently about the Xbox one after GDC next month.
"Best power wise"... Interesting considering Xbox first party devs seem to have no problem hitting 60 fps, case in point Halo 5 and Forza 6. Remind me again which next gen console is the most powerful?
Well I see this as great news as an Xbox one owner. I was quite worried that being cross gen would inevitably gimp the x1 version, but this news puts those worries to rest. My hopes for this game have been greatly restored.
I get people are going to try to find a silver lining in this, but unfortunately this is nothing more than a business deal. Sony need cash, more now than ever due to their investor meeting. It's no different than when they sold their building a couple years back.
I have a feeling this won't be the last of the sell offs either as Sony downsizes, this is not necessarily a negative though if they can cut underperforming products a smaller Sony can start making profits again and ...
Or like why would you a build a next gen console with ram that's designed specifically for graphics and not much else. Or why put a big GPU in you system being fed by a week CPU with both scenarios causing bottlenecks.
Yeah completely agree, this will be a fantastic GDC for tech news. I'm really looking forward to that "Advanced DX12 graphics and performance" session though. I can't wait to know exactly how DX12 will impact X1. I just hope they make it all public.
Looks like the res disparity is over, and thank goddess. Lets hope we can all get back to talking about the games instead of the pixels on the screen....looking at you Playstation fans.
To right man, what a turnaround in perception over the last week in the console power war. For Xbox gamers the "Greatness Awaits" catch cry is far more relevant.
Yeah it will just reversed.
Yeah I hear ya, we'll know allot more at GDC if not before. I'm thinking we'll some pretty impressive benefits for X1.
So it's looking like PlayStation fans a starting to accept that DX12 is going to benefit the X1 much more than they expected. And now the argument is changing to "Sony can do the same thing for PS4. And sure they will make improvements but to think they can achieve what DX12 is doing, sorry it's not going to happen for a number of reasons.
Microsoft have been building DX since the mid 90s DX12 is the culmination of all those years of experience, knowledge and hu...
Really looking forward to seeing what they have in store for Crackdown 3. The first game was one of my favourites of last gen, and with the upgrade to Xbox one and the cloud wow this could be unreal.
Yeah exactly, DX12 is so much more than just being close to the metal. There's still so much we don't know like what features need new hardware. My feeling is something to do with dedicated processing cores for specific tasks and high bandwidth memory Roll on GDC.
No offence man, but you're delusional if you think Sony can come up with something that comes close to DX12. Microsoft have been developing this for years, together with hardware developers, this is not something you decide to do and have it up and running in a few months. It requires huge investments and expertise from not just Microsoft but also third parties. On top of this Xbox one was designed in parallel to DX12, and Features custom hardware to utilize ALL OF DX12 FEATURES.
Your not seeing what's right there in front of you it all makes perfect sense. X1 was released a full year ahead of it's initial planned release date. So for the whole of last year all tech info has been under nda. DX12 isn't being used and all games have been running on old engines that don't take advantage of the X1s unique hardware features. There's still so much we don't know about X1's architecture, I'm thinking we'll know alot more when AMD start talk...
So great to hear Microsoft built my Xbox one for the future. This will be a very good year for Xbox gamers I think.
Wait what... 5 hours and a good portion of that are cut scenes. Are you joking? Is this really what we should be classing as acceptable in gaming today. No way, gamers need to vote with their wallets and send a clear message to developers and publishes.
